Just got off the phone with the 5-0.
Of course i was wondering if it was still worth it to apply again in 12 months, sice i dont wnat to be 'waiting' all that time and then get rejected again for exactly the same reasons.
well, the uy on the phone said that it would be no problem for me to try it again next year, i'm just going to have to work on the things that i scored low on and need to show that i have ineed done that next time.
He sounded surprisingly nice. Normally the guys on the phone are always grumpy

Couldnt keep a decent conversation going, not a figure of authority and not stress-proof.KuSTaV wrote:

Im perfectly capable of having a good conversation, but this one was just really weird. You try to be rational and youre not very loosened up because you think its a job interview (which its not).
Now i can agree with me not really looking like i have any authority, but that something i can work on and at least make it seem that way next time i have the interview.
And the stress proof part is complete bullshit. I used to be a very wimpy kid and of course i had to tell them that, but thats not the case any more, but due to the conversation going as smooth as sandpaper, it didnt seem that way to them, and i dont blame them.

Mate of mine tried to apply for police and got rejected because he was too friendly
inane little opines
what it came down to is more or less this:
1) I'm young
2) I'm inexperienced
3) I didn't prepare myself properly for the interview

Basically the usual bullshit reasons for an employer not to hire you imo.Kampframmer wrote:

Yeah lol. The guy is a bodybuilder & bouncer, not tall (~175 cm) but weighs about 80-85kg. He had to roleplay a situation in which he was the cop and he had to talk to a guy with a grocery stand at the market. The stand was allegedly 20 cm off the allowed area to put one and could disrupt traffic that way, the guy who owned it had been warned before.
The idea was that he should've fined him (bout 50-100 euros) but instead he had a nice chat and said "well, get it right next time". Zing, denied. "Too friendly".

IMO I think he was right. Why would you fine someone for that? Dick cops

Strange.
They normally dont give you a roleplaying situation in which you are a cop, because they want to see how you, as a person, would handle a certain situation and not act like youre a cop already.
I had this guy that i rented my appartment to (i rented it form my uncle) and there were 2 noise complaints from the neighbours, he got a ticket for public intoxication and there were trash bag in front of the door step (they didnt belong there)
So i had to have a little chat with the guy and he made up tons of stuff along the way to make it trickyer.

They just want to know if you can stick to something and not be persuaded.Shocking wrote:

If youre going to give in to that sort of stuff, like: Oh well, for just this once. Then they think you dont have the balls to fine an old lady if she drives through a red light at 100 km/h
That's what he told me anyway.
I guess that in a situation like that you should never get distracted by what the guy is saying. Always drag the subject back to the noise & trash outside his door.
