Too bad, it's probably the best of the bunch tbh.

And if you're going for realism, it trumps them all as well seeing as it's based on a true story.

Fantastic book.

We Were Soldiers is in no way boring. It's also pretty emotional, there's some pretty freaking sad moments and whatnot, really drew me into the story, great movie.

Only thing I didn't like was the retardedly portrayed ending.

In the Winter of 1969, an elite force of the US Army was sent on a top secret assignment in Southeast Vietnam. The objective: rescue Sgt. Four Leaf Tayback from a heavily guarded NVA Prison Camp. The mission was considered to be near-suicide. Of the ten men sent, four returned. Of those four, three wrote books about what happened. Of those three, two were published. And of those two, only one got a movie deal. This is the story of the men who attempted to make that movie.

We were soldiers was a terrible movie.

Why were they fighting? Did they want to go? Who were they fighting? Why were 'they' fighting? Did it matter? Did they make a difference?

Fuck that. 2 hours of soldiers getting torn apart in various ways while Mel Gibson goes on about his faith and devotion. O and throw in some cliched patriotic crap here and there and you got movie gold. Shi1ty's the world over will hold that up as film at it's finest.

One of the worst war movies I have ever seen was The Patriot.

An axe wielding Mel Gibson vs the British who burn down Churches full of civilians.

Yep, The Patriot was a retarded film.

But Lisa Brenner was totally worth watching 2 hours of magic laser muskets wielded by a 6 and 8 year old.

Oliver stone was supposed to make a movie about the My Lai massacre a while back but it got cancelled because of the writers strike.
