just wondering if any of you guys have advice. my brother and a few relatives have been in the military but i can't talk to them right now so i figured i would see what you guys think.
i would just hope they accept me though. i have no idea what you have to go through to enlist/be accepted.
@Jay, why would i do that when it doesn't appeal to me/i'm not even that smart? only option would be community college but still...
@uzi, lol i would be fucked the first day of an engineering class. i'm not even that good at high school algebra.
You have to take an entrance exam called the ASVAB, which tests you on a wide range of skills. If you're a bad test taker, you might not get in.andros wrote:

it's not that difficult, and there's some books out there to help you get an idea of what you need to focus on. i bought a mcgraw hill book on it when i was debating enlisting out of HSandros wrote:
@Jay, how hard is the ASVAB and how can one prepare for it? also how about the fitness tests? physical health wise i'm pretty similar to my bro (both have a slight stutter although his is pretty much gone, and we're both colour blind)
being color blind will severely limit the jobs they can offer you. you cant even be infantry.andros wrote:
yeah i've been thinking about quitting weed lately, sort of. hasn't been that enjoyable and i don't see any benefit. as much as i'm for the legalization and advocate it, and as much as it's a useful plant, just not for me that much anymore. obviously i'd have to quit if i was joining the military though.
btw believe it or not i don't smoke that much, not even everyday. sporadic really.

Sprint Customers 50% credit towards last 3 months and/or free Airave
If you are a Sprint Wireless Customer, you can get 50% off you last 3 bills credited to your account due to all the outage/service degradations they have had in the last 3-4 months
I called to make a complaint and they credited me $221 (50% of my last 3 statement) to compensate me for my frustrations. It didn't take much she already seemed to know what she was supposed to do.
I live in SW Michigan, my number is based out of Grand Rapids though. But from what I understood, it was available to all Sprint Customers

TIPS
Pick your battle. You will not get the credit and the Airave. You can get your credit now and try again later for the Airave. (although some people did manage to get both 50% off 3 months AND free airave with a lot of persistence)
Get yourself to the retention department by telling them you are thinking of switching providers or you want to cancel.
Tell them your friend (hey if I save you $200 and/or get you free stuff, you would call me a friend, no? ) got 50% off his last 3 bills and you want the same courtesy extended to you.
People are having luck with chat reps now.
