"Aside from the legal paranoia, growing marijuana is a very rewarding and pleasant experience. It is fast growing and responds very quickly to changes in environmental conditions. Over a season you will experience the complete life of a living organism that has lived symbiotically with humans for so long that scientists don’t think that wild marijuana exists. Feral marijuana (hemp) is found in the Himalayas and across the Caucasus as well as in the U.S. Midwest. Even though it is weedy and grows without human aid, sometime in the past its progenitors intersected with humans, which caused permanent changes in its evolution. The symbiotic relationship has had a profound effect on both species. For cannabis, the evolving relationship helped it spread from its home in the Himalayan valleys to every continent on the planet. For humans, cannabis provided shelter, clothing, food, medicine and change of consciousness."

anyway my seedlings are looking good, nothing bothered them last night. my watermelon plant is starting to wrap around the pots too, providing natural heat protection on the roots.
i'm gonna put a trap out tonight though just to be safe and kill (if it's a rabbit or squirrel since they're everywhere around here) or release far away (if it's a kangaroo rat cause i believe they're almost endangered)

Build a fence you dingus
my stuff is in the chicken coop which is protected by a regular chain link fence but there's like 2 inch diameters in the holes so some things manage to squeeze through. ideally i would like to line the bottom half of the fence with chicken wire so nothing could get through but yeah idk.Superior Mind wrote:

i'll look around the bottom of the fence though and make sure nothing has made any big holes/cover em up.

bugs are going to eat yo shit

Use chicken wire. Mice and rats can squeeze through very small holes.
damn that is a dick move lol. now i'm prolly jinxed.eleven bravo wrote:

that shit has always been in the back of my mind and i feel if i make it to a decent point they're gonna get raped anyway but i will defend them.
out here i really don't know what kind of pests we have, mold/fungus problems isn't really a worry. we do have spidermites, aphids, and some other things.
i'm gonna get some organic pesticides and drench them the first time i see any sight insect damage.
@supmind, ya i want to but i don't have enough to go around the whole cage.
i do have some chicken wire cages but i don't wanna put em in right now cause my watermelon is starting to shade the pots lol.
i'm gonna put a trap out every night with birdseed in it and hope that if a critter does come around it will go into the trap first instead of eating my shit first.
