its a lot better than a small pipe. much smoother and u dont suck any ash through. ive never really been a fan of bubblers. just get a bong if you want water

man i wish i had a creek near my house so bad. only year round springs/creeks (relatively secluded) are a good 30 miles away.
just set up a nice automated drip system and reservoir, big holes and healthy plants. come every 2 weeks to check up on everything and top dress with dry organic fertilizers.
