I can't believe how retarded that weapon dev is.
Screw originality, authenticity, unique weapons per faction, etc. "I'll just do a half-assed job and get paid for it."

Is there anybody else doing it already?

probably a lot but more never hurts
People on the EAUK forums are. However as those guys are for the most petty idiots who care more about the minor problems than the ones that actually do affect the game. So you'll fit right in-Sh1fty- wrote:

But what is weird is that despite reports from players, the devs still say that there is random deviation on the twitters and shit.
You need to lighten up DSL. I know that's hard with such a stretched anal orifice but do try.
People need to complain about all the minor details, as well as the big ones. Attention to detail is a good quality.

Things like this are so controversial I never understood why the game devs even try it. They know they'll piss people off who want the weapons to be as authentic as possible, which really doesn't require any more work than making them incorrectly does, and if they make the guns right nobody will complain about anything but damage, accuracy, and deviation, which is completely normal to whine about, but they go ahead and fuck with everybody and cause big arguments over little issues.

Looks like "Call of Bad Company: Modern whorefare 3"

I bitched to him about the bullet counter instead of magazine counter.-Sh1fty- wrote:

What i sent: Why did you go for a bullet counter rather than a magazine counter when youre aiming for realism? Seemed to work fine in BF2
What i got back: Who says we're aiming for realism? We aim for fun, if real is fun we do that.
Sure, fun is prioriy. A 100% accurate military shooter would probably be a snoozefest, but the bullet counter adds 0 fun. The magazine counter added a tactical element that made you decide whether you would reload after shooting or not and this could determine the outcome of the next shoot-out.
It might be a small issue (But a long way from being as small as the bleeping of the bomb site) but its really bugging me considering that they added that +1 bullet after a tactical reload(thats what they call it)
I wanted to print out that pic (game box size) and slide it over my CoD:BO cover, but i couldnt find one that was the right size (all too small)RDMC wrote:

The thing with these developers is that you really need to present your argument in the absolute best way possible.Kampframmer wrote:

The way you just said it was fantastic as opposed to your actual tweet.

Ive summarized that 2nd part into 1 tweet and sent it to him. If he even thinks about adding it in the game for just a second or if he shows the slightest sign of agreeing with me, it will be a victory.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Quite fun to 'communicate' with an actual game developer about the game he's working on. Shame that they dodge 99% of the useful-advise-turds flung at them.
yeah...
But honestly, I hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those games where the models are different but the weapon stats are the same.
I forget what game did that recently.

Not entirely the same, but should surely fit the box:Kampframmer wrote:

And this is the exact same one, however somewhat shitty quality:

BC1 stock weapons were the same in stats, just different noise and looks. M16a2 also was full auto.Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:
I'm hoping the stock guns for each army get something to differentiate them from each other, and they aren't just the same weapons with different models and animations. With the promise of 'lots and lots' of guns - spread out like BC2 with one kit having 10+ primary weapons to choose from - coupled with (what seems to be) the rapid promotions through ranks any shortcomings of either stock gun could be made up through the use of an unlock.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
No Kampf, cmon be serious. What was that recent FPS that literally had weapons on each faction that had identical weapon stats but different models/animations.Kampframmer wrote:

What are you talking about? World at War had the Call of Duty 4 system of guns where guns weren't assigned to any particular faction.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
so the japs and us had the same guns yes?

Oh, I see what you mean. I think you've misunderstood me. I'm not talking about two factions having access to each others' historic weapons, but rather each side having their own faction-based weapons all modeled and animated differently, but having the exact same coding. Like the damage, reload time, magazine capacity, etc. was the same.
So World at War didn't have this issue.
I enjoyed BF2 and 2142 a lot because each faction had it's own weapons with their pros and cons that you'd have to adapt to, but also offerent all-faction weapons.
