American law's fault for not having better legal definitions in place, but I'll only pity these bullies when they go to apply for a job. Schools and courts have been criticized for a long time for not doing enough to minimize bullying, so I'm not about to protest when they start.
So, somebody brought up a good point earlier, was this done to boys or to girls?
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
American laws fault? Hardly. Parental guidance at some of its worst. I am willing to be the parents of these little assholes are no better than they are are.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Don't be so quick to judge. I've known some pretty shithouse kids, and their parents were quite unawares as they were little angels whenever they were around.
Not knowing anything about what your kids are up to, where they go, what they do how they act, is not really a great example of model parenting skills Jaekus. Basically what you are saying is, they don't even know their own kids. I feel safe in my comment.Jaekus wrote:

You said their parents display similar behaviours. I'm merely bursting that bubble to show that simply isn't always the case.
Actually my main point was parental guidance and blaming the parents for the behavior of their little shithead kids. My side point was a willingness to bet they were probably no better.Jaekus wrote:

Yeah you could be right but could be not. My aunt (by marriage) has a son who's been a drug addict for over two decades and recently he was charged with murder over an arson of a car in which two occupants lost their lives. My aunt has never taken drugs, held a good job and brought up her kids well. He was influenced by the company he kept and as a result messed up his life. She has gone through heartbreak after heartbreak trying go convince him and help him get his life on track but it never succeeded. So, is it her fault he turned out this way? Her other kids are not like this either btw.
All I'm saying is it's easy to sit back in judgement land and make calls when you really have no idea of the people involved. And teenage kids are led much more by their peers than their parents. Something I'm surprised you haven't noticed yourself.

Sorry, but a parent who has less influence over their kids than drug addicts, is a failure as a parent. Try not to take that statement as a personal attack as it is not meant to be.Jaekus wrote:

When her other kids turned out fine?
Sorry, but in case you haven't noticed people make their own choices in life, that's point you bring up time and time again yourself. You can't control people no matter how much you try, you can only hope to influence and guide them in the right direction. If someone ultimately wants to go that path, no one can stop them.

I was under the impression your aunts son was 14 ( like the shit heads in the OP) when he started getting in trouble.Jaekus wrote:

I will tell you however, if my 1 or both of my sons turned out to be pieces of shit how could I claim to be a success as a parent?

I don't know how old he was. Might have been 17, but I could be wrong.
But by what you are saying, what does this mean then:

because you're either saying it's the kid's choice and they cop the consequences or it's the parents' fault and the kids don't know better due to bad parenting. So which is it?lowing wrote:

I mean both. However since it is not a crime to a shitty parent, only a negligent one. At 14 those assholes knew what they were doing, and should face humiliation equal to that they dished out, or they can take the sex offender stigma. Maybe let the victims choose.Jaekus wrote:

Well I think the sex offender stigma is kinda setting them up to be criminals tbh, but certainly they should be punished for their actions, no question about that.
These kids were old enough to know what they were doing it, victims don't suddenly forget when they turn 16 why should the offender get a free pass?unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Thugs and sex offenders start in their teens, if they're labelled and watched then hard luck.
Fuck Israel
There is an argument for that i agree, but as I said, in my solution, they get the choice to have a dirty ass rubbed in their faces in the public square.Jaekus wrote:

That is stupid as fuck? Registered sex offenders? How about a good ass beating? Stupid as hell.
The people who beat their asses would have to be registered as sex offenders, as that could be considered "humiliating."NeXuS wrote:

So fine, find some registered sex offenders to do it.

Woah what. Is this coming from the same guy who bangs on about Nanny states, big brother and personal freedoms? You are now arguing that parents should monitor their kids all of the time and no exactly where they are, what they are doing and with whom?lowing wrote:

Funny because that leads nicely onto this
They're not going to get a job as they are now "sex offenders" and who wants to hire a male sex offender? Nobody. Congratulations on creating two more life long criminals.Jaekus wrote:

Still I would not argue with the Judges interpretation of the law, it certainly fulfilled the criteria of the law. The problem is with the law and only by enforcing the law does one find these problems.
Congratulations on discouraging other people from committing a physical assault.Congratulations on creating two more life long criminals.
