Playing around on seed "bf2s.com" (sans-quotes)
1. started out facing tunnel, then ran out onto the outcropping on upper right center to:
2. random land view. spin around to see:
3. looking in this direction, ran towards the right center and found a decent inland sea (no idea how far it stretches)
4. turned right and ran along coast until the shore veered left. continued further inland until I spotted:
5. to the left. very long formation with several cave entries on the inside
6. end of the tunnel. i can go left, up, down, straight through to some more sand or step back a few paces and enter one of a few smaller tunnels
Left takes me to an isolated, sunny grove surrounded by cliffs and a waterfall. Straight takes me into a desert biome with huge sand dunes. Up and back towards the water takes me to...Chile. Would be a good place to set up forever alone shop.

newbie and I have been creative-in it up~
We've been working on a gaol~ or "jail"
12 cell holdings:
Cell: Door is 2 sticky plungers.
Control Board, to open each cell individually... Master switch to open all of them, and sound an alarm, is on the back wall.
Wiring compiled by newbie and I~

everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
Too bad I didn't think of about neatly busing the 12 leads. Like anybody's gonna dig it up to look, though.
i made a nuclear reactor today

Are you using any mods to get resources automatically? It's a pain in the ass trying to make a big-ass glass structure the regular way.
invedit for me
for building what i build (mostly castles, bitches love castles) it's handy if i just quickly need a stack of something. for the mega big massive wow stuff everyone with an imagination builds, it wouldn't be enough

I use Op powers with the TooManyItems mod.
I have a dedicated server, though.
Currently building a castle based on Ganon's castle from Ocarina of Time:
Also, Newbie, good call on WorldEdit. What a tool. Love the ability to fix cut-up mountains and paint terrain, plus copy and paste is a dream.

Thanks. My son was asking me about invedit. Will ruin the "experience", but wth.
meh after doing a few worlds and mining/crafting all the stuff i don't really mind. there's only so much 'lmb+w for 10minutes, collect cobblestone' i can mentally take.Ilocano wrote:

Yeah, after spending a couple hours collecting resources and then falling into lava, yeah, I understand.

I don't think I could take mining anything else unless more depth and variety are added to spelunking. My minecraft is pretty much results-oriented. So despite what Yahtzee says, I don't believe it's any more satisfying building a giant golden cock after overturning the earth than it would be by simply adding the required blocks to your inventory with a single command.

I prefer singleplayer commands though
some mods also have inventory filler functionality too
yeah i've come to my limit in terms of mining.
Minecraft really has countless different game modes. Creative ~ PVE, PVP, and more recently through mods, Role Play. Pretty amazing stuff.
SP can only do so much~ plus it's boring as fuck on your own.

Skip to 27 minutes through, then keep skipping every few minutes if you're impatient.

Holy fuck.
Go-go-gadget clone tools.
Really, the only thing I was impressed by was the carving out of wide-open cave systems. This is something I wish Minecraft would do on its own when it generates worlds. Also, sand does not blend well at all with grass on that texture pack.
