It's the very nature of a representative democracy. Politicians are really only concerned about their own term. Cutting entitlement programs means stripping certain benefits from constituents. That's a hard thing to sell when the average voter has about as much foresight as a bag of socks.Commie Killer wrote:

Yeah. System is honestly a little too fucked at the moment. Decades of neglect. Hitting the reset would be painful, but honestly, I don't see another way. We can keep pushing it off but when it inevitably happens its gonna just end up being worse.
