Yeah they're mostly fucking stupid. Only one that really annoys me is 'could care less'. I frequently point that out to people who say it.

PASADENA - Two men and a woman beat up and robbed a man late Tuesday on Elmira Street, authorities said.

The victim, a 45-year-old Pasadena man, was walking in the 800 block of Elmira Street about 11 p.m. when he was approached by two black men and a black woman, all in their early 20s, Pasadena police Lt. Tom Delgado said. A further suspect description was not available.

The robbers punched and kicked the man before stealing his cell phone and a pack of cigarettes, Delgado said.

The man's injuries appeared to be minor, he added.

PASADENA - A 26-year-old Pasadena man was expected to survive Wednesday after he was shot several times in the torso, police said.

Few details were available about the attempted murder, which took place about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Douglas Street, Pasadena police Lt. Tom Delgado said.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots, then the sound of a car speeding away, he said. The victim was then found lying wounded in the street.

No description of the attacker or motive in the shooting was clear, police said. The investigation was ongoing.

It's absurd since most of them are grammatically sound, but these people just don't like hearing them for strange reasons. The "could care less" thing may not be the most accurate thing to say, but you understand the meaning. It's fruitless to try and "correct" all language when people still haven't mastered good/well and your/you're.
