that's honestly what gets at me the most. not the being single bit, not the not having many friends bit, but the fact that I just don't know how to fix it. i feel like I'm doing everything by the book but it never gets anywhere.

I try to do social activities to make new friends and just hang out with people. I care about having friends and a social life, so I do something about making sure I maintain one. How would not caring help?

Oh God I know what you mean. There's this girl that may have mental issues that is attention craving like mad. She is 24/7 nonstop asking people if they want to hang out and talking about her life. She also has a goal of getting a BF and she's been going after me lately. I can't seem to find a polite way to tell her to leave me alone, I already mentioned we didn't have anything in common but she doesn't care.
So yeah, I get the needy part.
I just hope I never come off as needy when I ask people if they want to go hang out or smth. I would like to go out with friends more.
