Since I enjoy playing your game...I say that displays of skill and aesthetics are not a reason.

k let's look at this from the perspective of the decision makers here...

are they going to give a fuck about whether things are correct? no

are they going to give a fuck about whether shit looks "cool"? yes

hence aesthetics and "display of skill" are much more valid reasons than "it's that way IRL"... correctness counts for very little in these games. This isn't fuckin arma. This is a game that is trying to be a AAA title, it's about what looks fuckin cool

they should make you clean the weapon every few hours, like irl

They should make you go through boot camp for at least 6 months before you can even play multiplayer.

Yeah, makes you wonder why the warring parties haven't already kicked the Jackal's ass out of the country for selling them only rusty, malfunctioning guns.

I tend to pick up new guns from the arms dealer whenever I go back to get a new mission. I only had a single jam at the beginning of the game, when I couldn't buy weapons yet.

Well now we have a new problem. The M16A4 appears to fire in fully automatic in the alpha beta. Hopefully this will be changed to the authentic 3 round burst the real weapon has.
