Do you have to have a college degree to become an officer within the US military?
Why don't they just select candidates and train them for this post within the military instead of making it a requirement to have a random college degree? I don't see how one adds anything of value to your function as an officer. Wasted years that could be replaced by a school within the military to learn something actually valuable + you get younger officers.
That's how it's done over here anyway, in the UK too I believe. You get a degree while you're in officer school.
