Hello

I was wondering : is the single shot mode more precise than the FIRST bullet in auto mode ? I mean, if I stay in auto mode but I click and release the mouse button quick enough to only shoot one bullet, is it gonna get the same accuracy than a bullet in single mode ?

Personnaly I think that in my entire bf2 carreer, Ive only killed 5-10 ppl in single shot mode, basically because I had found the weapon on the ground and it was already in single shot mode... I always stay in auto mode but when my target is far away, I use the single mode "manually" : I release the button quick enough shoot only one bullet, but is it as precise as the single shot mode ?

Ive heared some ppl saying that we will get more accuracy by using the single shot mode but im not sure...

yeah, the way it is worked out is that the first shot is as accurate as it's going to get then the deviation for recoil etc is added to the next shot etc

first shot of single and first shot of automatic are the same. then deviation occurs.

the PKM is innacurate as it is. single or Auto.

I know that.. but if I only shoot one bullet at the time in auto mode, will I get the same accuracy as in the single shot mode ?

point of impact feels different between the 1st single-shot and 1st auto-shot with the L86 (medic).

single shot L86 - point of impact at 200m is the tip of the sight. (tip of sight on top of enemy helmet = headshot)
auto fire L86, 1st shot - point of impact seems to wander up/down. not nearly as easy to get consistent hits.

(Try and compare on Ghost Town, firing from the AA@Center-flag to the north helicopter spawn area)
interesting but its strange because I cant figure out why is it more accurate to use single shot mode than auto mode even though in each of them we only shoot one bullet... why would the gun be more accurate by moving a switch?

there is more "area effect" when your not in single shot mode.  Meaning that if your in Auto, your bullets will hit a larger area than in single shot mode

just try shooting a wall at 50m away, you'll see what i'm talking about

GUYS we are talking about ONE BULLET....first bullet fired from single, first bullet fired from auto...SAME ACCURACY.

I used to think that there was a difference because of the way the stats for each weapon were presented.  IIRC they were reported (by EA) like this:

Weapon:  G3
Fire Mode:  Full/Single
Damage:  Medium/High
Accuracy:  Medium/High

Because of the way they presented the info, I took that to mean there was a difference and an incentive to use single or burst, i.e.  you couldn't fire as fast but each shot did more damage.  It kept with EA's concept of balance.

Now I don't know if there is a difference because most sites will list a single number for damage or accuracy, etc.  I sometimes use single and think its more accurate, other times I'm on full and squeeze that one or two shot burst and feel just as accurate.

those stats are not precise... its just general words and I think that "Accuracy : Medium" reports to the accuracy while a spray. for example the accuracy of the g36c is precise even after the 4th bullet but the l85 becomes inaccurate after the first one...

the way I play it is squeeze off a half second or so burst (approx 3 rnds) in combat and repeat and switch to single shot for picking people off at a distance.
I love running round the corner into someone who then glues his mouse button down, EASY KILL!!
click clickety click-click-click is the way to go. FULL auto (emptying a mag in one click) is a good way to get killed a lot cuz only the first coupla rounds will hit target, then when they get killd its "wtf, i emptied a whole mag into him and he still killed me" and i'm like well, you emptied the clip AROUND me, but i took the time to aim your ass up (as it were:P)

yeah its true that you have to shoot one bullet each second to get the max accuracy, but does being in single shot mode or auto mode makes a difference if you manage to shoot one round ?

i have a way of get ur accuracy real high

turn off ur crosshair that would make u scope everytime and put the gun 2 single or burst, unless theres loads either run or put it in auto and hope for best.
