Also, I've had the same fucking status update about beetroot that was posted 6 hours ago come up as the top item a dozen times (not in that pic obviously). I didn't like nor comment on it, so why the fuck do I want to keep seeing it 6 hours later?

It is affected a bit. Some of the options to take things away don't work anymore because they have been moved on the facebook layout etc.

I really miss the upcoming events, and Jaekus, if you want it to skip to 'Most Recent' by default, get ^ minimalist facebook ^, you can set it.

Blue seems to be the best colour tbh, other colours look too dark, or don't shade dark enough for the text.
The orange I wanted for the banner resulted in the text being too bright to read. Will experiment more.

I would like an option to change the colour of the text boxes, to the background colour as well. the white is very striking

Ok i found some problems. The theme tool is a bit bugged tbh. When you try and change colours too many times it stops working.. now I am stuck on purple.

Yeah it's a good one. It's basically like a simplified photoshop in your browser - complete with online storage if needed (though I always save to desktop).

anyone hear about that crazy new auto-recognition tool facebook activated recently? scans all online photos (mostly the ones by your friends / friends of friends) and auto-tags you in them using facial recognition technology. they turned it on without asking anyone, optionally... fucking mental. shit like that really discourages me from wanting to share any of my life on a social networking site.

People are starting to tag themselves on inanimate objects in a bid to fool it.

I feel happy and dirty at the same time.

As some of you may know, i applied for a job at the police corps. But Amsterdam wasnt hiring, so i picked the nearest corps (district) and applied for a job there.
This would mean that my new work would be an hours drive away from home (at least). Now i know that to some of you (mostly US folk i reckon) that might not seem like a big deal, but here its very unusual to travel that long, especially when you already live in the city.
But i really wnatedto job, so i was more than willing to make the journey day in day out.

But i just so happen to know a DA (he used to be head-DA of the country) that said he could arrange for me to work in amsterdam. And he managed to do it!
He called the chief of police in amsterdam and asked him if i could work there, wether tehy were hiring or not. And the guy actually said yes. So i just managed to cut an hour of travelling every day for at least 3 years from my (future)life and gave myself a whole lot more interesting workplace.
My interview is monday, and now im even more psyched because i want the job soooo bad.

Im happy about it, but im not very proud of what ive done.

A lot actually.
Theres more to Amsterdam than just the city center with the canals (and even there, theres a lot to do for a cop) and the only exceptional things that are legal are weed and hookers and they have some pretty strict rules to em.
