I really need your help

Specifications of my old pc are:

CPU - AMD Sempron 2500+
RAM - 1.5 GB
GFX - Radeon 9600 PRO
HDD - 80GB
DISC - DVD + CD/RW

--------------------------

Usually when I turn it on it loads with a small humming noise and within about a second it bleeps, and by that I know it is working.

Nowadays it turns on but the monitor stays White and the humming noise continues with a very high pitched sound and no bleep comes up. I have to restart it Repeatively or leave it for about 10 minutes before it starts up with a bleep.

Can anyony help me? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Is the humming coming from the CD ROM or the HD? What do you mean the monitor stays white? It's on but no picture Windows splash screan?

There is no Splash screen. It's on but yeah there's no picture.
I'll find out ASAP if it's the CD/DVD or HDD

Try disconnecting the CD/DVD and boot up. I would try to isolate the problem like that

Could be the power supply. What's the specs on it?

sorry...
Before I even got to your problem my mind went crazy with upgrade options:

Fry's semperon 3100 with a new ecs motherboard ($79)

oh wait.. you want to fix what you have... sounds like your power supply is crapping out, but it could be something on your motherboard causing the problem.

I had a similar problem once, it might be your PSU. Your system doesn't probably need more than a 300W or something PSU, which aren't expensive at all, so you could try changing that.

Also, check your AGP-slot. If you've been messing about with the Radeon, a bad contact with the mobo could cause sporadic bootup problems.

Or you could call an exorcist..
