Russians:
Rifleman/Medic: AK74m with Optics
Support: PK Pechenek with Optics
Engineer: AKS-74u Ironsights with Flashlight
Recon: SVD
US:
Rifleman/Medic: M16A4 with Optics (odd that its automatic)
Support: M249 SAW with Optics (Elcan C79)
Engineer: M4A1 Ironsights with Flashlight
Recon: SR25
Flashlights can presumably be removed in place of other attatchments.

That's a European-designed weapon, so you'd expect that to be the European faction's weapon.

How is that likely? Russians and US have been confirmed as factions. On the original BF3 manifest that was released roughly 2-3 years ago, NATO was also added as a faction. We've seen a screenshot of a guy holding a P90 in uniform that mimics that of French Gendarmes/internal troops, and that is the only inclination toward a third faction that we've seen.AussieReaper wrote:

Do you have brain damage or are you trolling? Those are the base weapons for factions, and considering the game is in pre-alpha they can be changed to anything that DICE feels like, at a whim. Is it likely they will remove the well made AK-74m model and replace it with some other random gun like the AN-94? No, not likely. You would expect there to be certain weapons that are available across the board no matter what team you are on, like the unlockables in BF2 and the common weapons for BC2. For instance, the G3 springs to mind.

I´d love to see some others nations as playable factions. I´m getting a bit tired of playing for Team America all the time.
