Well the steady rifle was in Medal of Honor, as far as I remember. Allied Assault.

Honestly its out of place for a Battlefield game, but since its pre-alpha they still are able to reverse really any feature they want.
meh.
On xbox it makes sniping a lot easier with the sway but thats because it also has the auto aim (something tat you cant subtley put in when it doesnt have a sway), but im not too sure how it affects player(skill) on pc as i havent played a game with scope sway on PC.

e: forgot it was in BC2. I didnt really mind it in there, but it did make it a tad easier.

If it makes it easier to snipe they should remove as it could incourage unskilled players to go as sniper and you get games that are filled with 90% snipers.

tbh the DoD:S system is good, more sway when standing, crouch to steady it.

you have to actually move your mouse to counteract the sway since it's not dead perfect like in CS or something like that.

Doesn't change the fact that sniping in DoD:S was still ridiculously easy.

If you ask me : sway "cod-style" or a little less when standing, sway a bit less when crouching and have a bipod to steady the rifle completely when proned

Such disdain for snipers.  Back on BF2, we were the only ones spotting and softening up targets for you.  Putting too much sway will just make it worse for your team.  It's not like the noob snipers will give up sniping.  They'll just be worse at it.

For heavy snipers like the Barret, yes. Not so much for the other snipers as it isn't needed.

everything that is suited for longrange , not svds and other semi-autos , every bolt-action rifle had bi-pods in bf2

Yes, but what would be the purpose of deploying the bipod of a bolt-action except for a m95 or anything heavy like that in  a video game. A semi auto at least makes sense as the bipod could be used to reduce or eliminate recoil, for .50 calibers it would be required to deploy in order to fire them but they are very damaging to make it worthwhile equipping them.

No, you were either sitting in the back getting spare kills,  not attacking points or you were spamming claymores and being faggots. Fuck snipers. Ruin every single fucking game.

According to CVG, Activision CEO wandered by the E3 booth of Battlefield 3, the regicidal threat to his company's own Call of Duty franchise, for a friendly look at the competition. He was denied.

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick wanted to play Battlefield 3 at E3 2011 yesterday. Only one problem: he had to get past EA.

A senior informant has told CVG of how they witnessed Kotick's PA discuss Bobby's chances of a hands-on trial of the military FPS with EA reps on the door of the publisher's non-public presentation.

Our deepthroat tells us that the female assistant hopped to the front of the EA queue on Wednesday morning (08/06/11). The DICE-developed military title is only being shown behind closed doors in Los Angeles - and not on console.

Her request was reportedly stewed over for a minute in private, until an EA rep re-emerged on the public show floor. He then explained that senior management had been consulted about the Activision chief's request, but that "it would not be possible".

Kotick's company is showing off BF3 competitor Modern Warfare 3 at E3 - a presentation which is also invite-only.

We're told by our witness that Kotick's PA put up a small conversational fight before walking away. She did not look in a good mood. Our observer asked an EA rep on the door for clarification of what he thought he'd seen immediately afterwards, and the events were corroborated.

Seriously, though. Beyond amazing.

EA's Battlefield 3 will be released on 360, PS3 and PC on October 25 in the US and three days later in Europe.

Activision's Modern Warfare 3 will hit the same formats on November 8 worldwide.

Negatory.  My Kill Assist and Defended CP ratios are significantly higher than yours.  My SVD plus claymores:P singlehandedly defended plenty of flags in the day.

I say leave it as is. Quit bitching about snipers. They're are designed to sit back and snipe. Good players move up with the team, bad ones sit back. There's no way to fix it unless you fucking rape the class.

The "Gruber 5 Stabilizer" was an unlock in BF2142 for steadying your sniper rifle by pressing and holding the Shift key.

That game mechanic definitely isn't new in Battlefield; the question is, however, if it fits into a modern warfare scenario.
I'd say yes, if they make it a "breathe-holding" simulation.
A better solution would probably be a rifle bipod to mount your gun or generally the ability to prop up your barrel for shooting.
