hey everyone

just wondering whose a bike enthusiast, whether it be road, mountain or bmx.

im 14, soon to be 15, and love biking!!! i bike 20 mins. everyday, more if i have the time. i bike at least 55km on the weekends, depending on the route. singapore is so flat though, no hills, hills are sweet. ive been biking since i was 11 in england; sorry to singapore but the biking in england was so much better. too many cars here in singapore too, and not enough hills!

i go on a bike trip to europe every year, the last 2 years i went to dordogne. amazing food, amazing scenery and amazing biking!!! so many hills, it was just amazing. this year im going to umbria, italy. i hope its at least as good as france.

i have a trek madone 5.2, brand new, got it last week. i got it extra big though so i can grow into it. my seat is brought forward and stuff like that. treks rule!

i got to le tour de france in paris every year since 2003. i got to see the peloton and lance armstrong go by!!! i also saw jan ulrich, ivan basso, robbie mcewen, and other people. its a sweet sight to see the peloton to go by at high speeds, and on cobbles to, down the champs'ellyses (dont know how to spell that, anyone care to correct me?)

so who else here loves biking?

and im also trying to get a biking team started at my school, hopefully ill get to

hey there i love biking, im into downhilling. i have a kona stinky but i have put new hydraulics on it and a new tripple clamp as well as a chain vice. for me downhilling is the most fun. i used to skate [quit due to breaking me knee] then skateboard then bmxing then trials then downhilling. downhilling is by far the best imo.

good to hear other people love biking

I was a mountain biking enthusiast in college.  Near College Station there is a bike course that is okay.  I used to ride it quite a bit.

Till one day my Gary Fisher took a spill.  My 'Horns' (hill grips) caught a sapling and I endo'ed straight into a thicket... (ouch)  then down a hill... (more ouch) and into a gully...  (ouch x3)  and finally came to rest against a nice hard tree(bump, darkness).  My helmet saved my ass.  Took an hour and a half to figure out which way was up after that one.

Those old childish posts were deleted. Don't mention it anymore.
Everyone stay on topic and have a civil conversation.

no biking for me Switzerland has way too many montains for my liking
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Are you crazy? Hills are the best bit. Just make sure you take the lift up. Anyway, I <3 mountainbiking. Here in Holland the riding isn't very good, so I ride street mostly. However, I try to get out to Switzerland/France, Les Gets area for a few weeks of downhill over the summer. I ride an Identiti Dr. Jekyll.

I love biking, though I haven't had a chance to go in a while.  I used to bike every day back in Morgan Hill here in CA.  Lots of mountain roads and trails, plus there were a lot of construction sites to fool around in (biking down the terraced ground, biking over the huge mounds of dirt the machines leave behind).  We could turn this into a hilarious bike crashing stories thread!  But maybe not...

I have a nice Trek 4400 series bike that I ride around San Francisco with every now and again.  Mountain biking is one thing, but riding through the city takes just as much nerve...

theres a construction site near where i live and i want to borrow my bros bike and go there. only problem is that this is singapore, if i went onto the construction site id get arrested or something like that for trespassing. and another thing about singapore is that there are alot of cars here, i basically have to bike on the sidewalk for a long time before i get to more secluded roads where there are less cars.

and about crashing, biking in england one time i was going downhill full speed on a pretty steep slope. then at the bottom when i was about 2 meters away, i see ice all over the road. by now im going to fast to stop and when i go over the ice i thought i was going to make it but then i hit a little bump or something when i was almost off the ice and crashed. huge bruise on my thigh, and road rash all over my leg. my elbow was sore for weeks after that.
