the last capture card i had was an ATI all in wonder 9700 pro. it was THE best bang for the buck vidcard i've ever owned.
that will tell you how long ago it's been . ..
today's Intel chips are sweet at video code/decode [see voodoodolphins post] and the cards are better than the software right now.
hardware > software in terms of where we're at. buy and LG blu ray burner, an i5, and any card that has hdmi out. good luck on the software, i'm using Cyberlink to go from PC to TV currently, for blu ray.
