I agree with Defcon. That doesn't make any sense. If I took the EA sticker off of Red Alert 3 and painted 'Westwood' on it, it wouldn't make it any different for me.
It's mostly the launcher they used for Conviction. Little things like having to keep the launcher running while having the game open. If you close the launcher while the game is up it force-closes the game. The ubisoft store and website are terrible as well. I'm sour at ubisoft and not the game because they stole fifteen bucks from me. So say if EA had made the EXACT same game then I could use that simple little EA download manager and just play the game without having to deal with all of ubisofts mumbojumbo.

I stopped buying Ubisoft games after I ran into a known and game-breaking bug in Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Their support ran me through a script obviously designed not to assist with the problem, but to drill down as far as they could to find something on my computer that didn't correspond with what they expected. Spent a couple of days sending e-mails back and forth before they found some cosmetic issue in an msinfo32 output and claimed that they couldn't help me with my issue before I had fixed this unfixable problem that was purely visual and had absolutely nothing to do with how the game ran.
