I will fully admit, they do. But, I think it actually saves me from spending more. I have a problem with not looking at price tags when I am in an actual store...so I end up making impulse purchases on things that are really overpriced. i don't really use sites, i just take advantage of sales/coupons at places i already go... when you move you get a 20% off your entire purchase coupon from bed bath and beyond, so we got one when we moved to our much smaller place last june. used it to furnish my dorm, saved probably $100 or so off my total purchase

she's only made millions off it, i'd push it too.
the problem is that she sells her 'hope' shit to everyone as if it's even accessible and realistic. her advice and her example are almost entirely meaningless: there isn't demand for millions of self-pitying and self-aggrandizing tv personalities in america. so she packages her little 'here's my advice, i mean the best for you' bullshit to a bunch of losers that are actually sad enough to watch/go to her shows... as if it has any real truth or worth whatsoever. the only reason people really like oprah and give her credit is because she's the first black female to have influence and power in the united states. again... that isn't benefiting anyone else.
