I like how "moderate" christians are lampooning Camping and his followers but still believe the same bullshit but without a date attached.
We don't predict the end of the world, that is taken out of proportion. The world will never end, it will last forever.Wreckognize wrote:

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
I'm not Christian but it's a lot more reasonable to say the world will end then to say where and when the world will end.Wreckognize wrote:

That's just as bad as saying it will end next Wednesday.War Man wrote:

s'right. Math is science and science is the devil. Also math involves proving your work and religion does not have to prove anything.HaiBai wrote:

Stingray, this question is directed at you!
Is it a sin to believe in more than one god?
Is it a sin to believe in more than one god?
uh no. maybe i should start applying mathematics to literature to point out how shitty somebody's writing style is. oh wait, thats illogical and i would be ridiculed.Nic wrote:

You're absolutely right though that this has little if anything to do with religion and "end of time" offshots hardly ever manifest. Wait. What?
Do you know that most people who are religious believe that they will see the rapture in their lifetime?
That is because the Book of Revelations (I'm assuming you're talking about Christians here, since you're referring to "the Rapture") is written in such a way as to make the signs leading up to the End Days seem like every day--plagues, wars, instability, natural disasters, etc. So that one is always living as if the end is coming, ie living according to scripture. That's why there have been people talking about "the end is near" since the Bible has been written, based on the Book of Revelations.AussieReaper wrote:

Make X-meds a full member, for the sake of 15 year old anal gangbang porn watchers everywhere!
It would be $*#& awesome if Muhammad returned with a space navy to lead Earth on a glorious space jihad against extra-galactic robot overlords. But I guess that's beside the point.
