-prone snipers should be invisible to commander scans, UAVs and "spotted" hunting.
-claymores should be recoverable.
-more realistic ballistics requiring elevation adjustments to increase the skill necessary for long range shooting.
-weapon customization to allow for matching the rifle and optics to the situation.

Juat make snipers invisible and a forced class.

No, speaking from a BF2 sniper's perspective, snipers shouldn't be supercharged with anything but spotting ability, if player-controlled 'artillery' is an item. If you make them invisible to UAV's, it'll be even worse than the jammer kit on CoD. Just eliminate spotted-hunting by autosquelching anyone who spams it for five minutes.

I never said that.  I'm fine with two shots.  Overpowering any class makes it less fun.  Just imagine a single class that can carry a full powered assualt rifle while keeping a life sustaining medic bag firmly shoved up his ass. or someone with an endless supply of grenades, it would wreak havoc on cerain maps.  Anyway, I said only a prone sniper should be invisible to commander scans and uavs.  If he's running around or even squatting he should be as visible as any other class.  But what the point of careful movement and positioning when a commander has a magic all seeing eye?  If anything I'd like to see sniping become more specialized and skill based, it would make those 400 meter running kills all the more satisfying.

Those suggestions you made overpower the sniper class though, it will just encourage snipers to go prone all day and you'll end up with 14 of the 16 players as snipers camping 24/7 while two medics run around trying to cap flags

A prone sniper, visible as ever, except to UAVs and scans, with the same basic rifle/pistol/grenade/claymore kit is that over-powered?  Not being a little red dot on a little map, only while prone, is that huge an advantage?  Do you rely that much on little red dots on little maps when you're playing?

2142 got that right. No recharging health and the medic box couldn´t be spammed like in 2. I really liked it that way.

yeah, older games had such better features. These newer games went 180 degrees backward in the wrong direction, i hope bf3 isn't the same

Games used to be just for gamers, now they made em so that everyone can play.
Appareanlty, regenerating health is a part of that.

Battlefield 2 got snipers right. BF3 can take that and improve on ballistics, for all I care, but it was good gameplay. A proper sniper in that game could be as devastating as any other class, if used correctly. There was a one-shot kill, but even with the M95 a torso shot alone wouldn't do it, unless the target was already injured. And it was easy enough to heal up after being shot without your health regenerating.

I want small arms tO be devastating. Get rid of pray and spray. Bring in suppressive fire.

You still play CoD4? Competitively? Christ, that game was already fucking dead when I left the team, and that was probably over a year and a half ago.

This but without the red chevron over their heads, it´s so powerfull.

I also would like to see an AC-130 gunship with multiple seats piloted by players. That would be cool.

BFV attempted something similar, but kinda failed. In one of the most recent patches they added a couple of maps with a C-47? that had mini guns on the sides and multiple seats.

lol, how fucking terrible at this game do you have to be to think those two things would imbalance gameplay?  I'd also like to see mines and claymores be destructable again.

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.

I just thought it might've been in some press statement somewhere.
