yeah i did that with some distant relatives that added me... when it was convenient to keep in touch with them using that. but it's weird when your parents want to add you on facebook... like there's no need at all to use facebook to communicate with them. weird. plus there are so many photos of me bombed out of my face with various women of the night on facebook. bit of a privacy settings emergency.

put him on limited profile where he can't see anything, job done
