Key Board and Mouse Don't Work In Game

It seems to work everywhere else.

I can use the main menu but the second it gets into the actual game it stops working.
Any reason why and how do you fix it?

check the controls in the menu. i had this happen to me out of the blue once. All of my controls were empty so just reset them back to default and made my changes and all was fine.
