gearscore/ilvl is for retards and does nothing but give those who 'can't' a reason to show they are 'better' than someone else. It means nothing, just an algorithm, no showing of actual skill or knowledge of class, role and mechanics.
those who rate themselves on gearscore and ilvl are not team players and i've always considered WoW to be a team based game.

If you focus on gearscore only, you're going to be a shitty player.
If you focus on your class mechanics and playing it right, without addons. Then you're a good player.
Only addons I used were Atlas Loot, Omen, Recount and Pally Power. Everything else was irrelevant and useless.
Omen is useless now, since tanks NEVER lose agro unless they're a shitty tank.

I used atlas and whatever my guild needed me to have for raids (Omen)
The way the game works now you can very easily tell people who know how to play and the people who have no fucking clue what the hell they are doing. Almost every class's *rotation* is a priority based rotation based off of proc's. (which is why they put power aura's right in the game) If you know how your class works your going to do so much more damage than the person next to you in the same exact gear but has no idea about the inner workings of their class's mechanics.

Nah, gave up after about 12 wipes, we started pretty late waiting on one dps. Still, learnt a lot about the fight, it's a lot of fun
Theres no way a rogue should be beating a hunter, or a lock on that fight Finray.. tbh the people you play with seem really really bad hell you got a druid in there doin 9k dps..... You could do more damage at level 80

If I'm honest my guild are a bit sup-par, maybe not the best players but they're a great lot of guys. I'd much rather have fun with people I'd consider e-friends than down 12/12 HM with a bunch of people with no personality.
