Well it appears the White House will not release the death photos of Bin Laden. They are afraid it will cause unrest and violence.

Now I asked before and I will ask again. If Bin laden was sooooooo un-Islamic, why do the Muslims care what happened to his body? and why should anyone be afraid of violence because of it.

Ahhh but according to this board, Bin Laden was not acting in accordance with Islam, so, why should they care? Also, can't recall anyone worrying about Christian backlash when they kill a serial killer. According to the BF2S brain trust, there are only "a few" "nutters", and they are nothing to worry about. So why are govts. worried about Islamic backlash.... Oh and it is ISLAMIC backlash, and not extremism they are worried about.

OK lowing blame it on Islam all you like, fact of the matter is that pretty much 95% of the population in the middle east are muslims. You don't need to be a genius to figure that the people getting angry about this are muslims, doesn't mean there's a definite connection with Islam.

Oh ok so to be clear, they are worried about ISLAMIC backlash, ( not extremism), but this has notning to do with Islam? Then why worry about ISLAMIC backlash if it does not concern Islam?

So Obama ordered a raid instead of a drone strike because he wanted proof, for the American public, that they killed Osama but now refuses to release the pictures of the body or the raid video. Uh huh.

I can understand the raid video not getting released, you know sensitive military stuff and all, but we should be allowed to see Osama's headshot.

We live in a society where random acts of violence doesn't dictate our lives. I cant find any mention of worry of "Islamic" Backlash, best I can find is "extremist" backlash and some mention of Hillary Clinton. Can you show us some sources lowing, perhaps saying the president has refused to release the photos for fear of islamic backlash?

I can't, that is why I ask, why are they worried about backlash from the Muslims? If, by your account, there is nothing to worry about? By the way, explain to me the connection between Islam and cartoons, yet....the violent rampages happened.

Did I tell you there's nothing to worry about? No.

I told you that almost everyone in that part of the world is a Muslim so people shouting there's going to be an "Islamic" backlash is kind of an unnecessary statement. They're all followers of Islam.

Though, I can understand not releasing the photos for those reasons. But; I do believe the white house has an obligation to release the photo for all the people who got deployed to get the bastard.
