Good morning everyone! I discovered today that the hot water takes 10 minutes to turn on if you try to take a shower at 5:30am. I was mostly done by the time it heated up.

i love how they play RATM's "Wake Up" at the end of The Matrix, what a classic
i love how the matrix seems like a good movie until you actually come around to reading some of the shit supposedly 'behind' the film and then realizing what a crock of misinterpretive shite it is

There is more behind the movie?
It seemed pretty obvious and clear to me when i watched it the first time.
It was like inception. People kept bitching about how they didn't get this or that, but when i watched it it was all so easy.

i mean all the shit it's supposedly 'based' on, all the pseudo-philosophic bullshit, all the pretention of 'the architect'...
is a total misinterpretation from the w. brothers of the original philosophy
which just makes it seem even more like trying-too-hard teen-generation bollocks

Maybe those people are just really really stupid.
well the entire film tries to be intelligent and 'deep' and it's pretty funny that the stuff it's meant to be intellectual about is actually wrong.

I had no idea the movie tried to be intellectual.
Same as with inception, I'm not going to expect to be intellectually stimulated by a hollywood summer blockbuster.

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

i think the movie was more about special effects, just showing em off on the big screen. keanu was the sign for me there would be no .. thick plotUzique wrote:

we used the matrix as an example when studying the allegory of plato's cave back in high school. though that's pretty shallow

weird example seeing as the matrix and the post-modern philosophy behind it is a pretty much systematic refutation of platonic ontology

we studied the effects in my Maya dynamics class. my fellow students were so INTO that movie. what a pack of dorksBevo wrote:

I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
i made the same mistake for one of my gcse science exams... woke up and it had been in session for 10 minutes. got there about 30 minutes late and the invigilator (prick) wouldn't let me take it separately with the full-time... had to rush through the paper with 1/2 the time of other people. still got an A*
