Why not just go to the next post office and mail it from there, seeing that a post office is the number one place that I can think of to buy stamps at.
I think the last time I have bought a stamp and mailed a letter from a public mailbox was 10 years ago.
Also, you can buy USPS stamps from Amazon.
Maybe that's the solution for HaiBai.
