Installed a Timney 510 trigger in my 308 last night. I actually didn't mind the trigger in my 308, it was the trigger in my 223 that was unpleasant. If I'm gonna spend some money on a trigger it's going on my 308 so I moved the 308 trigger to the 223. Remington's x-mark pro isn't a terrible trigger, they break clean and aren't too heavy, but they tend to be inconsistent and adjusting them isn't worth the hassle. This Timney is a nice little mechanism. The break is very sharp and it's set to 3 pounds, whereas the old x-mark hovered between 5-6 pounds. I may end up getting one for my 223.
Wide and serrated
Back in the chassis
Buttoned up
Stowed in the Pelican
My 223 below. The barrel isn't really fast enough for shooting beyond 500 yards. But it's fun and cheap and there's no recoil, it's like shooting a .22. It shoots around 1moa with the 55gr. bulk I run through my AR. I don't think I've ever put any match ammunition through it. It'd probably shoot a little tighter.
