But I have one issue. All the text seems really... Shitty. See here:

Really subtle, but really annoying. Also, I've just noticed text on this quick-post thing looks really crappy, too.

Ideas?
That's just how Firefox displays text. What version of Chrome are you using? Normal, beta or canary? I run the beta channel and get updates really often. Every now and again I might have a time where I get a lot of tab crashes in Chrome but a restart usually fixes it. But then, I'm also running beta, so gotta expect bugs. If you're using the normal Chrome, just restart. As secure of a browser as Chrome is, I'll put up with any tiny "quirks".

Shame - IE9 is a pretty awesome browser.

Look for an option to disable subpixel rendering or font smoothing.

I just use the latest release off of chrome.google.com

I'm not kidding, though, it crashes insane amounts. I feel like I can't rush it otherwise it will crash. Sometimes I'll try and load a video or a page and it will crash 3 times in a row before finally loading it. I love the browser's speed and look, but I just can not stand the crashes. I'm really not joking when I say at least once every 5 minutes.

Haha. I forgot to get a SS. Basically there were two servers, one 45TB and the other 27TB. Then there was this dude's own PC with 37TB of data shared and after that there were a few PCs with <20TB

Do you guys have a hard drive preference for storage? WDC Green, Samsung F4, etc.?

I have no preference as long as it is Samsung F3 or WD Black. Seagate, Hitachi Deathstars etc. never again.

For storage only F4 and Green are good.

Gotcha. I've got shit distributed across a 320GB, 500GB, and a 1TB at the moment. Gonna pick up a couple new drives (one for storage and one for programs/games).

I've got 2x 1TB 1x 2TB Seagate in my server, uptime is 100%, never shut down, been going for about 18 months, no issues.

ALthough, i've had issues with some seagate hard drives in the past, my steam drive (2TB) is a WD Green, fairly new though, no issues.

I think it's luck over anything tbh.

I've been using Hitachi Deskstars for years. No fails of any sort for me.

Im pretty confused by the different versions. Is there a home version that you can install on multiple motherboards? What extra backwards compatibility stuff does professional give you? Ive already spent quite a lot so don't wanna fork out on windows too if I can avoid it.

Hey look, it's a Finray impersonator.

Sorry mikkel, but nothing about your life warrants the condescending tone you're displaying here. If the question bothered you, you shouldn't have answered it. Now kindly fuck off back to your sad, sad real life. Thanks.

I'd be getting Home Premium unless you need any of the extra bits Pro/Ultimate gives you.

I can't imagine you'd need Ultimate and Pro really only adds Domain network functionality from what I can see.

So are all versions locked to one motherboard and i remember XP had some "upgrade" version which required an old version of windows, which I don't have, I notice all these versions are labelled as upgrades so does the same apply here?

Just to make this clear. I have a brand new build with no OS. I need an OS and don't really want one that is locked to one motherboard.

Edit - From going to their store and sorting through all the shit they tell you that isn't help full at all, I need the home premium full edition. Looks like the cheapest I can get is £100. Fuck that im acquiring it through other channels.

OEM is bound to a motherboard, retail is not.

I got Pro, but I guess home premium does the trick as well. If you're a student Pro is the same price as HP.
