Will it get actual decent 3rd party titles as opposed to the massive shitload of shovelware?

I dont see why a video game console needs to have browser support, music players (Well there was a nice feature on my old xbox and counterstrike where you could play your music cds ingame) and usb ports.UnkleRukus wrote:

TBH, I would like to see a more powerful xbox, that's more reliable. Current 360s are weak pieces of shit that have no browser support, no proper music players (cant play any of my podcasts or anything, constantly not detecting my ipod.) a meager amount of USB ports, and it's just flimsy as hell.
Going to get rid of this piece of shit the moment I can purchase a half assed gaming rig.
Just use a computer, play xbox games on your xbox

Keep your damn browser support, music player, podcasts, and ipod integration out of my gaming console. And yeah, I have no interest in the current support for Netflix, NBA, and whatever else Microsoft wants to add to the 360. Keep it purely a gaming console. I have better appliances to do those other things.
Older models have 3 USB ports unless you are using the wireless adapter which makes it 2. That is more than the current ps3's.
Come on, Microsoft's Natal aka Kinect is pretty much the same as the PS3's Eyetoy in how it works. Sony now has the option of motion controllers while still using the eyetoy for the ps3, you don't think microsoft might end up doing the same? I bet you 5 karma points that Microsoft will announce such a thing sometime this year.Poseidon wrote:

I think netflix is a great idea. you would rather watch movies on a tv than the computer.Ilocano wrote:

I agree I want Netflix over in the UK! Custom browser isn't too much of an ask. It would be nice to have BBC iplayer and 4oD on the 360 that would be pretty damn cool.Mutantbear wrote:

I watch Netflix on my Roku downstairs, and WDTV Live upstairs.
Netflix and Last.fm are the only things I need for my 360. I don't need an internet browser or a music player at all.
The ESPN thing is pretty cool too.

Youtube implementation on the PS3 is so painful.
Hmmm.. Probably won't upgrade... Shit, I still use my X-Box pre60. However I am toying with building a rig...

Sorry mate, you don't control what features go into consoles. Frankly I would like to play my podcasts while I'm playing games. I can't move my computer without it shutting off, and I only have one cable connecting either my speakers to my 360, or to another device.

and I do better when I play music. Since the music playing on the 360 is shit, I put on a music podcast and let it go.
Also, BC2, Blops, CoD4, Forza 3.

Because consoles nowadays aren't just simple machines anymore with one purpose in life: to play games. They are complete multimedia machines that have to compete with PC's.Mutantbear wrote:

The more features Microsoft adds to consoles, the more expensive Live Gold gets. Yeah, $10 extra is insignificant. It's the principal of it.UnkleRukus wrote:

Your console isn't close enough to your computer that you can just play music on your PC?UnkleRukus wrote:

Incorrect. A console is (on average) a $250 or so machine that plays games with solid enough graphics and lasts about 10 years until the new one comes out. They're not trying to be PC's because they aren't PC's.RDMC wrote:

I hope it just doesn't come with an internet browser. Seriously why do you even need that shit? You've got a pc right?SEREMAKER wrote:

Also: You could definitely use a PS3 as a replacement for your PC if you just do the usual surf the Internet, watch youtube and play some games..

Whats so bad about having browser support and a decent music player on a console?
If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
PS3 internet browser, although limited and slower than my PC, I find useful as I quick way to browse something.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
And by this I mean that consoles are competing with PC's. Low budget PC's for playing games vs a console with a browser, music player, dvd/blueray etc. It's a fairly easy choice if you aren't into PC's that much.War Man wrote:
