Ok so I'm going to be booking flights pretty soon before they go up any more than they have.
This is a rough schedule:
Fly to LA then to Vegas on Aug 10.
Leave Vegs on Aug 15 and drive to Phoenix, checking out the GC and Sedona on the way.
Probably arrive in Phoenix on the 16th.
Fly out of Phoenix (maybe stay one night) to San Fran then hire a car and go straight to Yosemite and spend 2-3 nights there.
Drive back to San Fran, spend 4-5 nights there.
Drive from San Fran to LA, taking Highway 1 and most likely stopping for the night at least once on the way.
Get to LA and spend the remaining time there checking out what there is to see, then fly back to Aus on September 2.
All up about 3 weeks.
You guys know way more about these places than I do. Am I doing each place justice by the time planned to be spent there?

You will probably want to give a little more time to the Grand Canyon. It is best at dawn and sunset.
