You're being a little too generous with The Devil's Advocate.

i was really into the first few scenes of the devil's advocate but after that the plot just became far fetched. the worse part was the ending though.

ri-dic-u-lous

contact was just a big let down and again, the plot was far fetched.

Narnia 3
wtf did I just watch/10

It's been awhile since I read the book, but the film was confusing if I tried to pay too close attention to it.

I've never read the book, but i saw part 2 in a sneak preview (you watch a movie that hasnt been released in the theatres but you dont know which one).
Twas a laugh riot. I dont think a single person there was watching it seriously.

I did read the books, and the second one seemed a little, off, to me. But its kinda hard to really understand any of the movies if you didn't read the first book, "The Magician's Nephew."

That's another good point. The movies are being filmed by publication date, not by chronological order. I think the decision was made based on the fact that "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" was the first published, and currently best-known title of the series. I don't think that really affects how much sense the movies make more than the fact that they seemed to twist stuff around a bit here and there.

Depending on the publisher, the entire set will be numbered as such:

Original PublicationChronological Order
The Lion, the Witch and the WardrobeThe Magician's Nephew
Prince CaspianThe Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
The Voyage of the Dawn TreaderThe Horse and His Boy
The Silver ChairPrince Caspian
The Horse and His BoyThe Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Magician's NephewThe Silver Chair
The Last BattleThe Last Battle

Personally, having read them both ways, I preferred reading them by their publication dates as presented by my own passed-down box set. The material's not so deep that you're going to get lost otherwise. Not much planning went into these books by CS Lewis's own admission, so I don't take the order as seriously as some of the die-hard fans and embattled lit scholars out there.

I've read the books and I enjoyed them (back in the day) but i've found the movies barely watchable.

I found the battles a little on the whitewashed side. It doesn't have to be a bloodbath, but it was just a consequence-free CGI-fest.
