The media are so hypocritical, I only saw about it after someone that blogs about United said it, wasn't on motd, in the papers, on the radio or anything. Essien gets away without even a yellow card, let alone a 3 match ban which should be the case. The FA should look at stopping dangerous tackles like those that can and do injure people before trivial words.
They should have a review panel and forget this BS about wether or not the ref saw it, acted on it w/everrrrrrrr. If something thats happened they should be cited and brought to fucking justice. I'd fucking sort them out
Yeah Rugby League started it all off, they are way ahead of the rest with video ref's, review panels and shit. Its a proper family sport with good banter amongst fierce rivals. Ive never been to a game though.
If the panel believe that the opposing player went in harshly, or even did a sneaky elbow on someone that fella can expect a 3 game ban.
Im all for banning Rooney, providing they stick to it from now on. And what I mean is, the same as him, ie, down the camera's lense f'ing and blinding. There are 1000's of other times they should of, but two wongs dont make a white, however, I dont mind new rules being brought it or even going back to old ones.
I dont like the obstruction that goes on in the game (ie, shielding a ball out of play with your body)
I dont think the ref's use the 10 yard rule enough, if it still exists (ie, you give a free kick, someone argues, move the ball up 10 yards, if the team awarded the free kicks wants to)
Too soft on Goalies. These 6ft fuckers wouldnt go down like that if had contact on the dancefloor. However, rarely do you see them play acting like other posistions. Good eg here is Jay Bothroyd. Stay on ya feet ya poof

I don't even know if that rule even exists anymore, it should be brought back though, players wouldn't harass the ref as much1927 wrote:

The League boys know now and have done since the sport turned pro they have camera's all over them so they wont get away with a nasty eye gouge or a sneaky thumb up the bum (Cant remember his name but I did post the story here years ago, some Aussie dude would tackle the oppo and ram his thumb up their bum to drop the ball) JOHN something, our Aussie friends might shed more light.
The atmosphere is what I ment more than anything in regards to family day out. All got them foam thumbs like on Gladiator, cheerleaders etc etc. Football is catching up yet still so far away from taking the intimidation out of it for women and kids to go along, and of course the non hoolie male's like my good self (we all have a past)
I have seen football kick its nasty habbits into other sports and its the stars at the top who are to blame. If it wasnt for them I wouldnt have to go to a bastard umpires (cricket) meeting tonight where some first class ump is going to tell me what to do when Dai Evans from Brynmawr 2nd's kicks off when I turn his 3rd LBW appeal down.
I honestly go mental if I catch any of my kids appealing on a hockey pitch or questioning the umpire. They have and never will say 'Oh yeah ya quite right, I got it wrong, here you can have the ball instead'. Regardless of how shit the ref is, I bet he made less mistakes than the winning team.
Why the fuck Im on about this I dont know. Where were we again?
Here we go

i agree with football not being much of a family day out. i go to old trafford often and sometimes with my dad, sometimes on my own and then it's fine to be in the crowd. if my wife, sister or anyone else comes we get a box instead to avoid the idiots, it's still surprising how many children there are there.
tbh i thought the idiots would be priced out but i guess not.

Clubs nowadays have to aim to get the family there not just the Dad and oldest Son, they will never become popular otherwise.
We have come a huge way in a short space of time, recently voted Family Club of the Year - check this out from a Derby Fan who visited us last weekend in our 4-1 win over The Rams

Derby County Fan Site full of praise for Family Club of the Year.
Derby fans website RamZone.net uploaded their match report of the 4 - 1 defeat (for them) at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday. I feel for the fella as I've written about the dross I've seen my team deliver on many occasions in the past but what was more heartening, as a Cardiff fan, was the impression the Stadium and the facilities left on the reporter.
After the hard work of trying to report on the game the writer had this to say about the stadium.
"Still look on the bright side, plenty of leg room, enough for a conga, friendly locals, PS3’s in the concourse free of charge, activities for the kiddies; Stephen Bywater even made an appearance.
Cardiff are the official Family Club of the year 2011, they truly deserve it especially when you consider how they were at Ninian Park. An amazing achievement, the best ground and pre-match atmosphere I can recall in forty odd years of following the Rams."
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has accepted a Football Association charge for using offensive language, but not the automatic two-match ban.
The England star's submission will be heard by an FA disciplinary commission and the former Everton striker faces the risk of having his ban increased to three matches if his appeal is deemed to be frivolous.

i bet inter thought they got an easy draw, just gone down 4-2 at home

Rooney got banned for two games??? Dear lord... Those boys on the field say far worse things to eachother which can be read quite easily on their lips. That's just a bullshit penalty for someone just venting after scoring a goal...
sam don't post in here with CL on

im not you noob you are omg
Thats unfair to have the option to increase it. It should be whatever they deem it and left alone, with the right to a fair appeal.Spamtheban wrote:
