Had a shitty story (as expected from an action movie) but many scenes were made explicitly for 3d. 3D has become so mainstream now that i don't expect movies to pull that kind of shit. The onylt ime they did that sort of bullshit was when 3d was still super special and a movie was made entirely around it.
Jay Chou played his role pretty well, but Seth Rogen sort of dissapointed me.

Ordered the big Tron blu-ray pack. 8/10 for the original based on my own subjective nostalgia.

Decent movie.  Scarlett Johansson, in this movie, is one of the most beautiful things ever filmed.

I don't know what rating to give this movie, since this is not the usual Hollywood type of film.
If I'd really have to give a rating I'd give a 4 for the unique setting, but everything else is "weird". Obviously this type of film is not for me, but I wont rate it since I seem to miss it's point...
That was one weird movie indeed. Have you read the book? It helps alot in getting a feel for what´s going on.

Could have perhaps gone more in depth with the interviews-- but damn, the footage from the Korengal Valley is insane.

Watchable but for me it was not as moving as Requiem for a dream or The fountain, can't imagine how could it have won Oscars. Then again I guess Oscars has nothing to do with a movie's quality

Sucker Punch: 4/10. Loud, noisy, mildly entertaining, but was really just a glorified music video.

The Fighter 9/10 - Loved it, great movie. One of the few solid movies to come out recently.
The Tourist 4/10 - What a load of wank. Predictable, stupid, and with cheesy scenes and dialogue. Avoid.

The A-team: Everything the Expandables should have been. Massively over the top, but it kept true to it´s roots. Would have liked to see a bit more handicraft work, but overall I enjoyed it.

Friday: Awesome. Never saw it before, had quite the good laughs

Better than the second film, a little disappointingly predictable at certain points but still enjoyed it.

The Town 8/10

Great plot, keeps you watching all the way. I like Ben Afflecks directing, and his acting wasn't too shabby either.

Unstoppable 5/10

Horribly predictable, poorly scripted, and just terrible plot construction, one of the the most sudden and worst endings you'll see, if the movie had gone on for another 30/40 minutes it had potential to be better. Same old Denzel, same old Tony Scott, it doesn't work anymore, Man On Fire was great, but let's all move along now.

Fighter 9/10 - I enjoyed this film. Great acting all around.
I then watched High on Crack Street: Lost Lives in Lowell. Wow!?!

surprised you rated the town that highly. it's a bit shit. especially considered in light of the departed.

I, too, recently watched The Town. Couldn't stop thinking of Heat.
My expectations must have been set too high considering all the hype around it

Black Swan 8.5/10 - Despite the subject being something that doesn't interest me in the slightest, I really enjoyed this and it held my attention the whole way though. Some of the fingernail bits made me cringe though, hate that sort of thing. I do question how re-watchable it's going to be though, I have a feeling it's going to be left for a while before I bother viewing it again.

I felt the same way. It entertained me for the duration of the film, but it that's all it was. It was inevitably going to be compared to the Departed, at which point it falls flat.

Resident Evil: Afterlife.  0/10.  Total fail like 2 and 3.

Tangled.  9/10.  Fun movie.  Helps that I have a thing for Mandy.

Machete.  5/10.  Jessia Alba CGI fix is disappoint.

Sucker Punch.  5/10.  Like others, eye-Candy.  But at PG-13, not worth it.  Movie should have just been the level 2 "imagination" and it would have been at least watchable a couple more times.

Wimpy Kid 2.  7/10.  OK movie.  But my wife and kids liked it more.
