There is so much observable evidence supporting evolution and practically nothing opposing the theory except assuming that god would be intentionally deceiving. In light of the abortion issue; may I remind you that embryos in the first stage of nearly any species (millions) have identical shape and form? It's really just scientists being scientists by not establishing the whole as being a work of fact. Not every single dot has been connected yet because hey, stuff in the ground decays. If you find remains of some species that lived 60 million years ago you are one lucky man; thus, even though we already have a staggering mountain of information it's really hard to try and wrap it up. Especially because the process is so slow we won't ever be able to observe its most far reaching changes on life (such as the coming into existance of new species) unless humanity will be around for another couple million years. Denying its credibility is just intentional ignorance, but anyway let's leave that for another debate.
Yes, many civilisations have stories of big floods because civilisations started and existed mostly around coastal areas for the better part of history. Rivers and seas flood. This is a natural cycle. Noah however, if he even existed probably living about some 5-10.000+ years ago really had no idea of what the world actually entailed. A tsunami like the one in Japan sweeping over his direct vicinity was effectively his entire world flooding, not to mention that the very notion of all land being covered in water is just incredibly strange.
Also, the whole 'noah took two of each' just doesn't make sense, as there was no way he could build a boat large enough to accomodate every single fucking species on the planet. Even modern science won't be able to pull of something like that. Not to mention that he had no way of knowing all species as he didn't / couldn't know the extent of this world.
Buuut I can quickly address Noah's ark. How big do you think the ark was? Remember the Earth wasn't the same before the flood, animals and humans were bigger, due to the increase in oxygen and denser atmosphere with the water canopy. There's even buildings used to replicate those conditions used on people who have certain injuries and they heal much quicker.
A person's opinion on abortion can pretty much be traced back to a person's religious views, wouldn't you agree?

Oh whoa shifty...
Believing somebody created everything is certainly less crazy than believing everything magically appeared and that we evolved from some single cell.

Good god you are dumb, any retard who took a basic Biology class already knows more about life than you do. No wonder you'll never get laid.-Sh1fty- wrote:

The size of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701)?
Or a rubber dinghy?

Why do you suddenly come up with such (obviously crap) scientific claims?
Or does the bible really describe oxygen levels and their effects on human body sizes?
I find it so utterly funny how bible freaks utilize science wherever it has an apparent benefit for their view, but dismiss it (with "God is tempting us") whenever it doesn't fit.
And the sad things is, in either case they have not the slightest clue about the underlying scientific knowledge.
The opinion on abortion is only a moral one, and a very personal one, which should only be the mother's and the father's, but no one else's.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Certainly not some fuckheads that wait in front of clinics, harrasing and assaulting people entering, and even killing doctors performing abortions.
But hey Shifty, abortion shouldn't be anything to consider at all, seeing that you are a man and don't have a woman.

Damn, I need to go back to college, I completely missed the part about "magic".Believing somebody created everything is certainly less crazy than believing everything magically appeared and that we evolved from some single cell.
Is it like Harry Potter magic or DnD magic? DnD magic is cooler but I don't like the idea of only being able to do it once a day.

It's dependent on the region, the willingness to learn and how much funding the school got. I had a fantastic Bio and Chem teacher. Could recite the periodic table of elements backwards. I actually regret not paying attention more in class.Uzique wrote:

I didn't even say anything about creation itself, what's so hard to understand about evolving life? If live did not and could not adapt it would have gone entirely extinct long ago. The earth constantly changes, if a living organism cannot adapt to those changes it will not survive - that's a very simple rule of thumb.Sh1fty wrote:

I still think for a 9.0 in the Pacific it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Considering the 9.2(?) in the Indian ocean caused some quarter of a million fatalities. Obviously now with the Nuclear Disaster, you're looking at something which could potentially completely destroy the nation. If things go really wrong and it all hits Tokyo or something.
You're just so crap, why do you even do it to yourself is the real question11 Bravo wrote:
