but i cited my population sources.
i guess what i 'extrapolated' was - there are 15x as many people in the US, so the traffic systems are probably going to be different.
besides, drunkface was being a cunt about it, and for someone who's never left his mum's basement, doesn't have a clue about what may or may not work elsewhere.

Yeah, I ment he didn´t cite his. If we don´t know with what parameters the numbers were raised, there is no way to use them as a valid point in an argument.

We were a little unsure about the wedding going ahead on time but I've been told they're booking in Vegas this week, so it sounds like it'll keep to schedule.

Rough plan:

Vegas - Sedona - Phoenix - New Orleans - Yosemite - San Francisco - drive down to LA, stop in at Santa Cruz etc.

Think this is too much for 3 weeks? A mate went to Vegas - NY - Florida - New Orleans - San Fran - LA last year but was only there for 2 weeks total and spent 1-3 nights in most places.

I wouldn't spend more than 1-3 nights anywhere either. A week is a really long time to spend anywhere.

Duderino. Scratch N.O. Obviously out of the way. Give yourself extra time in Yosemite or Vegas.

If I was planning the trip and had three weeks to spend...

I'd start off in Vegas and spend 3ish nights.
Head on over to Zion National Park for a day (due east of Vegas in southern Utah). There are campgrounds here.
Zoom down to Lake Meade and Rainbow Bridge NP. Here you can take a ferry across the lake to the Rainbow Bridge and follow the path up to it.
Swing by the Grand Canyon.
Head down to Sedona I guess (I dunno why, it's just hippies).
Down to Phoenix (again, not really a tourist destination, just kind of an airport hub).
Head to Old Tuscon if you want to get a taste of a cheesy stylized Western ghost town
Then do whatever in Cali, I've never been so I can't make any recommendations there.

One of my travelling companions wants to go to New Orleans. I do too, after what my mate told me of it.

I don't really want to spend that much time in Nevada, more so in CA.

Sedona was a recommendation to stay for the night on the way to Phoenix, after seeing the Grand Canyon, and I want to stop in Jerome to visit a cellar there.

Phoenix is where the wedding party are flying in and out from and they plan on spending a couple weeks there, but I have no intention of hanging about for more than a day, so it's the airport that's the main reason I'm going there.

The more I look into going to Yosemite the more I want to go there. I just think it's too good an opportunity to pass up.

Is it really worth going to New Orleans? I've read a lot of cool things about it, my mate said he had probably the best time for the two nights he was there, has a great jazz scene of course... but you guys would be able to give me a better indicator.

my trips to Nor'lense (if you do go, by God practice saying it with one looong syllable, if you say 'New - Orleens' you'll get the fuck beatin out of you, bum raped, robbed, and bum raped again) have been business, but for a business trip i'd give it 8/10.

but you*re looking at 12 square city blocks that make up the french quarter, for a howevermanythousandmile trip you*re making, unless it's Fat Tuesday don't waste the effort. you'll get enough decadence in Vegas.

the southwest is splendidly spectacular, but on your time budget i'd reserve more for the coast and Yosemite.

New Orleans is cool if you really like music and the swampy mist.
