I have a Saitek X45 and after kind of tweaking it, don't know how I ever lived without. Although for a chopper, I still use the keyboard mouse ... seems easier for some odd reason

Damn its about half and half then. Thanks for the input guys. I'll have to try to find my own happy median. I was wondering if one just had a pure advantage over another. However judging by this thread, its almost just a matter of preferance.
After last night im really starting to like the jet now. Got my arial service ribbon. Not too bad for a straight ground pounder that cant hit shit with a jet. Practice makes perfect.

I fly with one of those Logitech wireless joysticks. It sucks when it isn't on and you jump in a jet, and I suspect that I don't turn as fast as some people, but I'm a karkand whore so it doesn't matter.
it's really stupid you know? The Soup Nazi wrote:
I'd be a lot more impressed if you had gotten that score in any jet other than the J-10 -- especially on Wake Island. How many times did you strafe the carrier?washow wrote:

guy on j-10 = carrier raper
why? i mean fucking why? i don't like how i can show down easily by essex so i hardly ever go carrier raping
that round i entered carrier zone almost never (maybe twice or so because nobody came out)
Then you are certainly in the minority of J-10 pilots. I apologize and salute your godly score.washow wrote:

That game was too much for me. To many thing to maintain while flying. (If it's the same thing I am thinking of.)Souls wrote:

My joystick. I get a firm grib on the knob and let loose...
Kmarion, where did you get that plugin? I want, I want, I want!Kmarion wrote:

Max.
i use..keyboard and well...keyboard
I use a joystick (Cyborg Evo Wireless, helluva annoying when you jump in a jet and the dam thing doesn't work straight away though)
I'm also one who doesn't rape the carrier. Maybe once in a blue moon when there's nothing else to do, but i'd rather fly around waiting for something to take off. I enjoy the chase.

Just trying joystick. I bought CH Products Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals.
Souls - I see that's what you have. Do you have a profile you can share? I don't see any profiles for BF2 anywhere. Do you use for helicopter and jets? TIA.

A Tom Cruise fighter pilot jacket and a blow up doll of "Goose" in a chair behind me with "highway to the dangerzone" blasting over the speakers.
Your opinion soesn't count yet according to KEN-JENNINGS demands. You need 25 hrs in a plane!! You have 24hrs 59mins 42secs!! Come back when you've got the missing 18 seconds.. lolXxUNDEROATHxX wrote:
Keyboard and mouse...and heres the kicker...
My mosue pad is 6x6"! Yet I still manage to pull off this kinda stuff...[/url]
I use for helis and jets, jsut the keyboard. I got used to it from 1942 and cant do it any other way now.
WASD for forward and rudder etc, the arrow keys for everything else, space bar for missles and the num 0 for machine gun.
Oh ya, I cant fly planes for shit either. Surprise. Im actually pretty good in a heli now once i got used to BF2. I was a force in the apache in DC.

keyboard and mouse. i don't fly as much, so having a joystick isn't that important. however there are those times i kinda wish i had a joystick so i could pull off awesome manuevers and scare the hell out of my bomber, or just keep doing a loop to get the enemy fighter on my six, off..or just tired of going in loops.
I use my MX518 on highest sensitivy (1600 Dpi) Works like a dreamDrunken_Tankdriver wrote:

you should have trackball on the poll too, some people swear by it
While that system is developed by the people who construct the flight systems for the military demo boxes and plane pilot text boxes I think the springs for their joystick are a bit too soft and the stick itself is not ergonomical enough to my liking.Souls wrote:

Saitek is actually releasing a set of rudder pedals this year. I dont think I will jump on them however, and maybe I will since I do need a foot rest for my desk.
wow right after i jsut voted its a tie 114 to 114
Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. I love the realism in using a joystick, I mean when do you ever see a plane in real life being flown by a mouse or keyboard.
i cant vote in this poll
i'm useing keyboard only
