i have a 7800 and 2gb of ram. everything is on ultrahigh with no lag, although it took the upgrade to 2gb to take the lag out.
personally i like hl2 look better, but bf2 is a fine looking game.

I play with High And I get 28 FrameRate
And I do it all with my Beloved X700 Radeon
I saw the X800 and sombody told me they were the same as the X700 allmost
and they were right

In order to play with Ultra High settings you have to edit the video.con file found in your profile you are using.
C:\Documents and Settings\FFOLKES\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001\video.con
Change 3 to 4
VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 4
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 4
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 4
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 4
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 4
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 4
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 4
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 4
VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@75Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 6Samples

I've to work on Low got an FX5600 but I tried on high just to look how it's is, ohh my god it was soo nice ! (And very laggy lol ).
Radeon 9800 Pro + 1GB ram + 3GHz pentium
I use the high settings and only rarely get some lag.
What is the console command to show frame rate by the way?

There are times it feels like I'm playing on an Etch-a-Sketch...gotta pick up the monitor and shake it to get it to refresh...
its just he didnt mention changing mobo's and i thought his card now only comes in agp...||BFA||xZeler8 wrote:

I got my x800pro today and I can play everything on high including AA 6x
I got ...
2 7800GTs in SLI mode
P4 3.4 ghz
4 GB of RAM
and everything on highest settings runs great ... except Iron Gator which has to be one of the worst designed maps I've ever played. It's called blocking volumes Dice, Unreal Engine makes great use of them, try it.

I tried high settings on my leadtek 7800gt and 2gb of ram. I somehow used to medium so i changed it back:P Btw my settings are all high and only dynamic light medium. And yeah, after that i changed it back to default medium.
I can run everything at high, but I turned some things like shadows down to medium for better fps and its easier to see
It`s all about the ram. I run it on medium with 6800gt OC, P4 3,2GHz and one gig of ram. 50-70fps. But on high I have big problems in the begining of rounds altough it gets better after a while.
If I had 2 gigs, I would be able to run it on high.

i started out on medium and it was a tad choppy. tried kickin it up to high and wow it looks great but the performance was a little weak. now i play on low and i get a constant 60fps. i have a pretty good set up - x800xl, amd 3200, dfi lp ultra-d, 1 gig ocz gold but my harddrive only has a 2 meg cache so its really the limiting factor on my machine. once i get a sata 3gig/sec harddrive i should be able to play on high pretty easily
man sum of u r damn lucky basterds i got a vanilla 6600 and 1 gig ram wit intel p4 3.0 so i got 2 play medium with like 35 fps lol
These games suck on low or medium settings....high is the way to go
Hi Guys I have got :-
AMD 64bit 3500
Geforce 6600
2 Gb Ram Dual Channel
