Hell no. I'm not that good. The photog who took that only had one fifth of a second to get the right shot.
Here is one I took of Discovery. Check it out, you can see the SRB separation.. look closely on the left. Two bright dots under one.
.. also from my Discovery archive.. see the little dipper?

Mmmmmm not sure what to look in the last one. I also have them small tanks separating in my last pic Could barely see them. Unfortunately the video of the launch is wobbly as hell since the missus was holding the camera high above her head while watching the launch and trying to get some footageKmar wrote:

Some douchebag also decided to stand on his plastic icebox just before the launch which got plenty of folks behind him, me included, a bit mad. The guy was right in front of me and replied to some folks saying they had been there for 6h waiting that he has been there for 8. What a faggot. Wish I had gone standing in the water too for viewing the launch. O well. Maybe next time
That's the moon in the center. The shuttle is lit up sitting on the pad on the right.
I usually go to less crowded places.. north of where everyone else congregates.
This one might explain the second picture.

Oh yea, ur right. I rewound Stellarium to the date and aprox time and Polaris was off to the left. Capella is pretty damn evident also in the photo.

Weird seeing Orion so low this time of year (with basically just Betelgeuse above the horizon). It's pretty dominant in the Winter sky over here.Kmar wrote:
