For the drink tips? If you're buying a $10 shot, make it a dollar. $19 vodka redbull? $2 is probably more appropriate.

I do that at home anyway

I've been told bottle shop prices are a lot cheaper than here, and you can buy booze in the supermarkets?

It depends on the state. Not sure what Nevada's laws are as I've only been once.

I can buy wine and beer in supermarkets in New York, but not liquor.

You can buy booze in the bottle shop attached to the supermarket (a lot don't have them though), but not on the actual supermarket shelves themselves.

you can buy booze in supermarkets here, yes.  It's a bit hard to find liquor stores/supermarkets in the general vicinity of the strip, though.  Same goes for ATMs.

I guess the casinos would have ATMs though.

Oh, and there's a shitload to do there without gambling. The one time I went I was there for four days and only spent $40 gambling. Shows, the pool, just walking around checking out stuff, good food etc.

Yeah I don't gamble. When I go to the casino here, it's only with friends who want to gamble. I'll watch for a couple hours and drink. Most I've ever spent at any one time is $5 on the pokies (slots). And sometimes I bet on the Melbourne Cup, like $10.

My fiancees mom tagged along to Atlantic City with us one time and I guess she felt guilty about gambling with me just standing around with my hands in my pockets. She hands me $100 in chips and tells me to go have fun. So whatever, not my money, I'll go blow it. Ended up walking away up $500 on the $100 I still hate gambling.

if you do go to a casino, and don't want to gamble - go to the bar, pay for a bottled beer. take that beer, go to the sports book. pick up a random piece of paper.

when you finish that beer, the waitress will come by, tell her "another one please" and tip her when she comes back.

rinse and repeat.

Haha, that's awesome!

When I used to smoke pot, a couple of friends and I had no money and not weed. I had a gig at the casino but no money, well, I had $2. The gig was paid a week later too.

Anyway, during a break I just walked up to a random machine, put in $1. I then realised it was 50 cents a credit insead of 1-2 cents. Two spins later, had the $25 to buy a little green bag after the gig, hehe.

There's a couple of ABC stores on the strip, one by Planet Hollywood and one in the Fashion Show Mall. They should be your go-to place for booze.

I dunno about anyone else, but I walked through the mall at Caesar's Palace around midnight one day and the ceiling was really fucking up my mind. I kept thinking it was daytime.

On the coke front, I've been told to chat to bartenders and dealers (of the cards nature, not drugs) and casually slip it into conversation.
