lol, I tossed that in there because he's in jail now.  He commited the crime in the USA, and had lived there since he came from Pakistan at 17 years old.

So yeah honor killings aren't just a "Muslim" thing. The only reason this story even got any attention is because it was Muslims. Men kill their wives and girlfriends all the time in this country.

It got attention because this very thing is acceptable in Islamic nations. Thats it.

The culture and religion of Islam is stepping backwards from the progress of tolerance equality and freedom we have made in western society. You asked why I hate it? Now you know.

Proof?, It may not be to the same standard yet, but it is not necessarily stepping back, It will not change overnight but exposure of both cultures to each other is the best way to iron out differences.
