LOL I have no idea what a level one gun liscence is . Never heard of it . I had all of these weapons when I lived in Phoenix . You don't need anything but a drivers liscence and a clean background . Oh and you have to wait for 20 minutes for a BG check ._j5689_ wrote:
Can you buy a Dragunov with a Level one gun liscense?
Well, I meant a basic gun liscence but I see that you don't need one. My friends dad has a level 3 weapons permit (he works for the secret servise), which means he can buy automatic weapons legally. He has a glock with exchangable barrel, Frinessi Spaz 12 I think, an MP5, and an Uzi 9mm. I'm pissed that Desert Eagles are illegal in Maryland, it's my favorite pistol.
Where do you get ammo for it?
In AZ ? EVERYWHERE ! I usualy went to gun shows and stocked up on about 2000 rounds of the Drag ammo .
Then another 1000 rounds of the 7.62x39 . A few boxes of 9mm , 45 what ever I needed . Plus there were a few stores like J&G that would ship it to your front door for a $10 fee .
knock , knock , knock - " Who is it ? "
" AMMO DELIVERY !!! "
" Oh hellsz yeah ! "

Lucky, no one even knows what Maryland is and they wouldn't sell anything to do with Dragunovs here albeit. I can't find any ammunition sites so i'm screwed if I ever get one of these. I'd have to get everything online.

Yeah go with Wolf ammo . It's russian and non corrosive .Thoes are good prices too . There are higher grain round but stay away from them . They are for the Tiger and hunting . I think it's 172 grain or something like that . But if you really want a Dragunov don't settle for anything less . The Romanian ones are kind of junky . Never shot one but that's what I hear . Besides , They are ugly as hell ._j5689_ wrote:

I 100% agree, the Romanian ones look like shit, mostly because the the stock doesn't go along with the rest of the gun and makes it look like you're aiming down from what i've seen. The wood looks ugly and faded too.jonnykill wrote:

Uhh.........Know any good sites for buying the good Dragunov? I prefer one without a scope because I plan to buy a better one for it anyway.
You can search all the sites you want . There are simply no Dragunovs for sale and from what I see just looking at the latest prices for parts I'd say you better have about 4-5 grand handy to buy one .
This was the place where I got the one in the red velvet case .
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.asp
To be honest , you would have to scoure the net constantly , make a ton of freinds and keep a sharp , very sharp eye out for a Drag going for sale . Like I said , I got lucky as hell and got mine from a spelling error .
Good luck .

I take it you've seen what this thing can do in the hands of Juba the Iraqi Insurgent sniper. Looks kinda deadly.
I don't wish to take this thread in that direction . I'm all about collecting and target shooting and possesing items of history . I know military grade guns are meant to kill but I don't go there . I don't have that job anymore
......if only it werent for all the russian gunsDrykill wrote:
Only in america. Sweet ass collection you've got there. I'm not jealous..........
Russian guns aren't for everyone I guess . My collection is based entirely on looks and curiocity . I never got a chance to fire Eastern block weapons before I moved to Phoenix all I ever fired was American stuff .
I love Russian rifles for thier simplicity , use of wood and hard punching ammo . I like how they rarely ever jam and bearly even need to be cleaned . Perfect for lazy asses like me .
I owned an M-4 for a while . Something toyish about the M-16 series and all it's varients . First off everytime you fire you hear the buffer spring go do-oi-oi-oi-oing . Secondly the 223. isn't a very impressive round . As far as looks go it's all black , end of story . Kind of boring . Also the muzzle break for the M-4 was the most rediculous thing I hav ever seen invented . The freaking ports were drilled at a 45 degree angle back towards to the rifle . When you fired it from the hip you would get slammed in the face with all the air impact being blown back . Fucking stupid to say the least . I sold it and got my first AK

You have owned automatic weapons then?
OMG ! you've got an awesome collection !!!!! btw, the green sniper rifle is a freakin' SV-98!! nice one !
aren't you afraid of being caught by a nasty policeman who dares to think you're a terrorist and got some hassles with the DIA ?

Like I said before I have never owned any full auto weapons . Since 9/11 people who have already owned class 3 weapons are having a hard time to get more fully automatic weapons . I simply didn't have the patience to wait 9 months for approval . Also all the weapons I own are completely legal . All you need is a drivers licence and a clean record . The only time I ever got " caught " by nasty policemen was 2 occasions . We were shooting like we noramlly do and a sheriff pulled up . Asked for all our ID's and ran them . Took just a few minutes . We got our Id's back and he told us we had to pack up and leave . Not because we were in violation of any laws but there was a noise complaint made by people who lived nearby . Before we left he said " what the hell do you guys need all these rifles for ? " We didn't say anything . Then he said " Can I check some of thoes out ?" lol . He was all checking them out and asking all kinds of questions about this and that .
The other time was when we were having a big shoot with tons of full autos . As we were wrapping things up I was about to fire the MP-5 for my first time . I fired a burst but forgot to call ears and pissed a few people off lol . After eveyone got hearing protection on I started to fire . I got one more 5 round burst off when I saw red flashing lights . I turned around and saw cops . I was like FUCK I WANNA FINISH THIS MAG !!!!!!
The officer said he wanted to see paper work for the full auto's . Anyhow the officer was just checking up on the area because a few weeks earlier a bunch of skinheads shot up a bunch of illegas with full autos not too far away where we were shooting . After all the paper work checked out they simply left . It was getting dark so we just packed up and left .
Anyhow more pics - enjoy .
my first cig lol
photoshop fun
another reason to go shooting and camping - Russian BBQ , it's called Shashlik ! Fuggin delicious !!!!
ok , i gotta go get something eat now

I'm a small part Russian , and I pronounce Russian words better than I do for all other foreign languages, and Russian things seem to be lucky for me so maybe i'll have good luck from a Dragunov, lol. Russian stuff is cool.
The coolest thing ive shot is a deserteagle. Soooo powerfull. did it in New Zealand. probly illegal. You got a desert eagle?
No, not illigal in Noisyland, (you got a gun license An7 NZ?) but very hard. My mades got an endorcement on his license that lets him get handguns, but the rules regarding them are strict as.
- Must be a member of a gun club and go at least once a month.
- If membership terminates handgun must be given in to police.
- Can only use handgun at licenced firing range.
- When transporting handgun, (in the boot/trunk of your car,) you may have no stops between your house and the firing range.
- Handgun must be kept under lock and key, with magazine/bullets/anything-else-that-can-be-taken-off-it stored in separate locked locations.
That's nothing compared to the endorcement about owning automatic weapons, or guns that have the capability of being automatic.
- Don't use them. Buy them, look at them but don't even think about firing them. Actually, don't bother.
Well, pretty close to that anyway.
Also you're not allowed to fire a gun in self defence. The police suggest that if you do use it to defend yourself, use it as a club.

They act like it's a bomb or something, lol. That sucks. I might be able to get a Desert Eagle in Maryland after all if impactguns.com lets me order it.Tyferra wrote:
