Catholics priests aren't allowed to marry. How'd he get a catch like you? You could just tell him you snuck some wine into church in elementary school, though. That's how we roll.JohnG@lt wrote:

Why would they reward your indecisive ass? It's kinda hard to place you if you don't know if you wanna work in a lab or be an accountant, though.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Well I pretty much know what I want to major in, but you have to apply to the business school before it actually becomes your major. And I can't do that till the end of my sophomore year.DesertFox- wrote:

internships are a fucking joke
nah, I feel ya. I graduated with about the same in debt from school... Cant get a decent job without experience, so here I am riding the helpdesk.Uzique wrote:
definitely not the case
i'm mad because to get into intellectual and professional careers, you're basically expected to do free internships for about 3-4 years for top companies.
have fun living in central london working full-time for free... and making no money...
after already landing yourself in £20k of debt from your university loans
that's why internships are a joke. it's an employment culture that totally exploits a newer, more desperate generation of grads.

the help-desk pays money, though, and you're not expected to live and commute in one of the most expensive cities in the worldSonderKommando wrote:

We have a 3 month internship program in the 3rd year of your minor. Nobody does a 3-4 year internship. Who the fuck would work so long with no pay?
it's ridiculously competitive over here in the graduate market, especially in the professional or high-sector jobsKampframmer wrote:

oh and our universities/state doesn't 'arrange' a third-year internship... these are arrangements you have to make yourself, after graduating.
try arranging a property to rent in or around london when you have 0 income
I completely agree about unpaid internships, it's a racket. They act like you should be so thankful that they'd even let you work there for free... yet I'm certain they would never ever give up their salaries.Uzique wrote:
