Miller is shite. There are about a million micro-brews that are superior to anything produced by the big breweries.
Same with any country, but people stick to populist beers. I'm not going to somehow own and drink some niche small american town beer, I'm going to drink what the shop sells. Thus you are judged on the following

Budweiser
Millers
Corrs

And the lesser, watered down "light" versions.

Unlucky mate.
Is Newcastle actually an English beer?
Newcastle brown ale? Id hope so but we seem to have sold all our companies abroad and now manufacture nothing.

Not a fan of ale really though.

I was working at a summer camp, 18 at the time, I couldn't really sample any of the stuff from the micro breweries, just whatever the other counsellors bought, I just chipped in 10 bucks or something for a case with a friend, The miller in the gold cans (genuine draft maybe?) was better than the others.

That being said they were all weak compared to what I was used to, and the cans were too small.

Both of those are awful. Heineken is actually very good in Amsterdam though. I think the green bottles skunk it in transit across the Atlantic.

What state were you in? They each have their own allowed ABV.

Ahh, you had the poor luck to be stuck in a state that has a bunch of teetotaling ninnies.

I was by Plymouth and about an hour from Concord (spelling?), and apparently there was only one liquor store for like an hours drive, sucked balls.

They're all state run monopolies, that's why.

I honestly thought Coors Light was better than I expected. Budweiser tastes like rape, but the Coors wasn't particularly offensive. It just didn't taste like a whole lot.

You've tried all the beers not brewed in Europe?

Yeah I know, which was why I was quite happy to keep drinking the free Coors the waitress kept bringing.

I agree coors is a great outside beer (that's about it though).  I drink em at the pool or Coronas.  I usually put the coronas in a full sleeve coozie for when I inevitability drop it.  But if it has to be canned, its coors.  Staple beer?  Sweetwater 420.  Stone brewery makes awesome beers too., but they're a bit pricey.
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
