It's not warm for indoor temp, that's for sure. 22 is nice.

See, when it's Siberia outside, you need to have the comfort in knowing that once you get home, you won't have to freeze. Having 18 degree indoor temperature isn't cold, of course, but you need to actually feel warm indoors in order to not feel completely frustrated with the freeze that has your entire society in a stranglehold for months and months. According to the forecast it's -15 right now, but will be dropping to -25 in the night.

What adds to the equation, is that while some of you people enjoy full carpeting and wearing shoes indoors, we Finns take off our shoes at home (not at the office though, duh), and mostly have non-carpeted floors, the current trend being laminate which can feel very cold. Except for those lucky sons of bitches with floor heating.

Oh man, I wish I had floor heating.

Here, during the winter, yes. The doors outside and to the inspection hall are constantly opened by customers, so the cold air gets in the office aswell
But someone broke the heating system, so now we're freezing in here.

You know how central heating/cooling keeps it at a certain temp? Well, the cooling part is "keeping" it at 18C. It's probably a fair bit colder than that.

Yes but it's supposed to keep it warmer. The temperature has been jumping up and down, it was under 17C once, now getting back up slowly.. 19C at the moment when the outside temp seems to be -13.5C.
