Note: She DID NOT have a stroke. She has confirmed this. So save your Kmar is evil for laughing rubbish. If I find confirmed information to the contrary I will edit this post and paint anybody that laughs an asshole.. except for me.

She's clearly thinking of sex and thus being completely distracted in her own blonde brain.
You could tell she wanted to say it correctly. lol

Symptoms of stroke.
makes no sense, she was examined probably because she was on drugs, why else would a reporter who's sole income is probably from reporting make a *&$# up like this intentionally? Having a stroke is an absurd excuse for some other reason why she acted as such.
Edit: It is retarded that only the edited clip is available, and the continuation of her odd presentation is not presented to dispel any idiotic ideas or comments regarding the events about her mistake. Why even bother speculating? For what purpose? The point of this video and its publication across the internet is confusing me.

And people were pointing out her facial movements as evidence of a stroke.. but it looks like panic and almost tears to me.

Why speculate anything? What is the point of anything? Why are we here?
Read some explanation from her a couple minutes ago that said she just lost her nerves.

Because people have a holier than tho morality complex. They feel they must defend even without all of the facts.Ultrafunkula wrote:

Even professionals can get twisted. It happens all the time. She panicked, that is all.

Yup. One professor in the 10pm news a few years ago got so damn nervous he didn't make any sense either. The anchorman (lul) making the interview decided after a moment to go mainly with a few yes/no questions and pull the plug since it was live too. Poor man was so lost.
Welcome to the brutal world of social media ...
Wait behind the line ..............................................................
This got sent around the office today. Fuckin' funny.
Kudos to her for trucking on. I mean it must be horribly embarrassing to realise that you're talking in word salad and she just kind of force the words out in the typical media report kind of way. It even sounds kind of right if you uh... squint your ears.
It is a nerves thing and even seasoned broadcasters feel nerves every time they go on air. Sometimes I guess it just hits in a way that puts your speech centre in meltdown. It's hilarious anyway.
Edit: Watched it again. You can see the moment she realised that there was no saving her - watch her eyes.

Very interesting, so the final verdict is: She was just nervous, and the doctors offered up the answer that she had a stroke? wtf is with the doctors these days...Or maybe "Media Doctor" *roll eyes*Ty wrote:

No I surely would have commented directly to you if I was. Your defensiveness is interesting though. She was checked out by paramedics and there was no evidence of a stroke. Everything I've read seems to squash the speculation of a stroke.Magna-Mike wrote:

Despite speculation that CBS reporter Serene Branson had a stroke on air, sources now say that those rumors are not true.
Branson was mocked when an on air video of her speaking gibberish hit the web during the Grammy's Sunday night. Later, news hit the air waves that Branson suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. Although, a statement posted on the L.A. news station's web site dismisses those claims.
Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning.

Nahh curiosity does not equal defensiveness. I was wondering if you were directing your comment at me, merely because I kind of presented an argument; while you mentioned a defensive position. I guess its just a (pointless?) philosophy thing I picked up from class. Nevermind.Kmar wrote:

I was listening to NPR once about 5-6 years ago (ib4zomgdieliberal) and Bob Edwards just got choked up and there was completely dead air for about 30-45 seconds which is longer than an eternity, especially on something as huge as NPR.
Happens to even the best.
I feel bad for the girl, you can tell if she had tried to go on for another 5 seconds she would have just broken down into tears.

She is either Klingon, or there is a secret message in there. Has anyone played it backwards?

pretty sad seeing the fear develop in her face
She needs to get back in front of the camera and not let that fear fester and worsen. If she has good support around her she'll be back on the horse.
Xbone Stormsurgezz
id give her some tongue
I don't think her confidence has fallen that low yet. Buddy.
