I put Spartacus on not bad.. The cgi was cheesy... I understand overindulging with things like that for the sake of folklore (like wires in martial arts movies). I certainly don't think it is the epitome of historical dramas.
The crowds in the arena made me laugh..lol. Bit still, the story was enough to get you hooked. Were you disappointed when Varro died? Did you think the little brat would do it?

Couldn't finish the first episode of Spartacus, but I watched Rome every day until the series was through. I'll give Sparty another chance someday.

Haven't been around for a few days. Unfortunately my Grandfather died last Tuesday so I've been up north with family. His funeral was yesterday. He was 82.
Gotta say - it is, or should be, the goal of all men to die with their boots on. Of course if you die with your boots on, a drillhammer in one hand and tearing down a rock wall with the other... well then you're just an inspiration to us all.
